Growth and meat production are the most relevant targets for animal breeders, there are strong relationships between animal growth regulation, body composition and meat quality. Therefore, it is essential to identify the genetic factors that are controlling growth, carcass, and meat quality traits and to explore the correlations between identified genes of those traits. Identification of candidate genes may shift rabbit breeding from classical to modern approaches, which offer great potential to accelerate genetic improvement plans, especially in developing countries.

Regenerative shock absorbers (RSAs) have still not entered production lines despite the promising potentials in energy efficiency and emission reduction. Vibration energy harvesting from vehicle dampers has been replicating the dynamics of passive viscous dampers. An accurate frequency-based analysis of the harvestable energy and dynamics for vehicle suspensions under typical operating conditions is essentially needed for designing functional Vibratory Regenerative Dampers (VRDs).

Health risks associated with the exposure of humans to low-dose ionizing radiation are currently estimated using the Linear-No-Threshold model. Over the last few decades, however, this model has been widely criticized for inconsistency with a large body of experimental evidence. Substantial efforts have been made to delineate biological mechanisms and health-related outcomes of low-dose radiation.

In this work we present a study on the growth and the gas sensing properties of poly(urethane imide) thin films. We first deeply characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM) the nanostructuration of the poly(urethane imide) holding different amine groups. We further studied the interaction between highly toxic gases such as hexamethyleneimine (HMI) and pyridine and the polymer by using an unconventional method based on Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) measurement.

Trichothecenes are an important family of mycotoxins produced by several species of the genus Fusarium. These fungi cause serious disease on infected plants and postharvest storage of crops, and the toxins can cause health problems for humans and animals. Unfortunately, there are few methods for controlling mycotoxin production by fungal pathogens, and most rely on chemicals, creating therefore subsequent problems of chemical resistance.

Introduction: Psoriasis has a major impact on sexual health due to the disfiguring skin lesions affecting self-image and self-esteem. However, this topic has not been fully explored.

Aim: The study aims to assess sexual function in female patients with psoriasis.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are symbiotic, root-inhabiting fungi colonising a wide range of vascular plant species. We previously showed that AMF modulate the expression of mycotoxin genes in Fusarium sambucinum. Here, we tested the hypothesis that AMF may induce defence responses in potato to protect against infection with F.

Fusarium trichothecenes are fungal toxins that cause disease on infected plants and, more importantly, health problems for humans and animals that consume infected fruits or vegetables. Unfortunately, there are few methods for controlling mycotoxin production by fungal pathogens. In this study, we isolated and characterized sixteen Fusarium strains from naturally infected potato plants in the field.
