Introduction Adhesive small bowel obstruction (ASBO) is a common cause of admissions to general surgery services. Water-soluble contrast (WSC), such as Gastrografin® (GGF), can be utilised in the conservative management of patients with ASBO, with predictive and possible therapeutic value.
