SummaryCannabis use is legalised in many countries. We present a patient in their 40s who complained of recurrent abdominal pain and associated nausea and vomiting. The patient was previously seen in various hospitals, treated symptomatically, and discharged with a diagnosis of non-specific abdominal pain.

Purpose: The impact of carotid endarterectomy (CEA) on choriocapillaris (CC) perfusion was investigated using swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography (SS-OCTA) imaging before and after surgery in patients with clinically significant carotid artery stenosis (CAS).
Methods: In this prospective observational study, patients with clinically significant CAS undergoing unilateral CEA had SS-OCTA imaging performed in both eyes before and within 1 week after surgery. The percent CC flow deficits (CC FD%) and CC thickness were assessed using previously validated algorithms.
Abundant chitosan was rationally used for the green fabrication of cadmium oxide nanorods (CdO nanorods) owing to its environmentally benign characteristics, bioavailability, low cost, etc. However, the primary unsubstituted amino group of chitosan interacts with the surface of Cd salt at higher temperatures, resulting in CdO nanorod formation. A one-step hydrothermal technique was adopted in the presence of chitosan.

Introduction And Importance: Neoplasms of the Kidney are rarely caused by actinomycetoma or other mycetoma species. Actinomycetoma is a neglected tropical disease which is not uncommon in Sudan. Usually, it is presented as skin and subcutaneous tissue lesions or mass and can affect the bone and other soft tissue.

From an industrial and academic point of view, there is a need to study the heat conductivity of newly developed polymer composites and the influence of porosity on the insulation performance of polymer composites. Experimental and theoretical studies were conducted on mainly sisal/glass fibre gypsum composites with different fibre volumes (0, 20, 25, 30, and 35 wt.

The effect of these changes on patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) is not well studied. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Ramadan on the clinical and metabolic profile of non-fasting patients with ESRD who were maintained on hemodialysis (HD) in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia.

Although the large area of application of these materials has encouraged investigations of their performance under various loading conditions, less research has been conducted on their tribological behaviour. Hence, in this study, tribological tests were conducted on epoxy composites based on bamboo fibres.

Three fibre orientations-parallel orientation (P-O), anti-parallel orientation (AP-O), and normal orientation (N-O)-and various sliding distances from 0-15 km were examined. The experiments were carried out using a block-on-ring configuration at room temperature, an applied load of 30 N, and a sliding velocity of 2.

Moreover, the hematological parameters hemoglobin (Hb) and percentage of reticulocyte (RET%) were statistically analyzed in relation to the GH biomarker parameters for the GHRH administration study and the menstrual cycle study. Longitudinal monitoring of IGF-I and/or GH-2000 score proved to be a viable approach to detect the GHRH intake in men, as all four participants show values above individually calculated thresholds (calculated as mean ± 3SD from three baseline samples).

Introduction: Coeliac disease can occur at any age but is more common in children. Its diagnosis requires correlation between clinical presentations, serological results, endoscopic findings and histopathological classification using the modified Marsh grading system. This study of coeliac disease with biopsies received in the department of histopathology at Soba University Hospital, and Fedail Hospital aimed to gain insight into the demographic profile, clinical presentations and histopathological classification of patients with coeliac disease.

Differentiation between the two conditions may be extremely difficult both clinically and biochemically, and a diagnostic liver biopsy is usually required. We report on a Sudanese infant who presented at the age of 4 weeks with prolonged cholestatic jaundice, abdominal ultrasound was inconclusive, HIDA scan was suggestive of extrahepatic biliary atresia and the diagnosis of idiopathic neonatal hepatitis was only reached by liver biopsy.
