Switching biologics in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps: A multicenter Canadian experience.

Background: Type 2 biologics have been used increasingly for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). However, patterns of biologic switching are understudied, and established guidelines for sequential or simultaneous use do not yet exist.

Methods: This is a Canadian multicenter retrospective study of real-world patient data.

Impact of body mass index on survival outcome in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer.

Introduction: Increased body mass index is known to be associated with the high prevalence of differentiated thyroid cancers; however data on its impact on survival outcome after thyroidectomy and adjuvant therapy is scanty.

Objective: We aimed to evaluate the impact of body mass index on overall survival and disease free survival rates in patients with differentiated thyroid cancers.

Methods: Between 2000 and 2011, 209 patients with differentiated thyroid cancers (papillary, follicular, hurthle cell) were treated with thyroidectomy followed by adjuvant radioactive iodine-131 therapy and thyroid-stimulating hormone suppression.

Obesity and associated risk factors among students of health colleges of King Saud University, Saudi Arabia: A cross-sectional study.

Objective: To determine the prevalence of obesity and associated risk factors among medical students in Saudi Arabia.

Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted from December 2012 to March 2013 at King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Using stratified sampling technique, undergraduate students of either gender from the health colleges were included.
