This study explores the impact of the epithelial cytokine heparin-binding epidermal growth factor (HB-EGF) and its receptor epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) on the pathogenesis of CAC and CRC, particularly in the regulation of microRNA-driven tumor growth and protease expression.
