Disseminated Zoster Involving the Whole Body in an Immunocompetent Patient Complaining of Left Leg Radiating Pain and Weakness: A Case Report and Literature Review.

Introduction: Disseminated herpes zoster is defined as at least 20 skin lesions in multiple dermatomes. In particular, it has been reported mainly in patients with immunological defects. To our knowledge, there is no reported case of disseminated zoster in a non-immunocompromised patient with leg radiating pain and weakness.

Early clinical results of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty in the Korean population.

Background: We evaluated the short-term clinical outcomes and compared the component's sizes of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) in Korean Population.

Materials And Methods: We performed an RTSA on 42 patients between December 2007 to February 2010. The mean age at surgery was 72.

Comparison of the osteogenic potentials of autologous cultured osteoblasts and mesenchymal stem cells loaded onto allogeneic cancellous bone granules.

We compared the bone regeneration potentials of autologous cultured osteoblasts and of bone-marrow-derived autologous MSCs in combination with allogeneic cancellous bone granules in a rabbit radial defect model. Radial shaft defects over 15 mm were made in 26 New Zealand white rabbits. The animals underwent insertion of allogeneic cancellous bone granules containing autologous osteoblasts into right-side defects (the experimental group) and of allogeneic cancellous bone granules with autologous MSCs into left-side defects (the control group).

Recurrent dissociation of the tibial insert after mini-subvastus posterior-stabilized total knee arthroplasty: a case report.

We report here on an unusual case of recurrent dissociation of a polyethylene tibial insert from its metal baseplate after high-flex posterior-stabilized (PS) Genesis II total knee arthroplasty with using the mini-subvastus approach. After the 1st episode of dissociation, which had happened 1 month after the primary surgery, we changed the tibial insert and found damages on the dovetails and the post of the retrieved insert. Unfortunately, the patient suffered the same dissociation 1 month after the tibial insert was changed.
