Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the promotive and protective effects of parental and peer racial-ethnic socialization (RES) on adolescents' psychological well-being in the context of racial-ethnic discrimination. We hypothesized that RES would buffer the pernicious effects of discrimination on well-being by promoting more proactive coping (problem solving, seeking social support) and less avoidant coping responses.
Method: Participants were a nationally representative sample of 371 ethnoracially minoritized adolescents who were recruited through a research survey panel (51.
Background Although demographic and clinical factors such as age, certain comorbidities, and sex have been associated with COVID-19 outcomes, these studies were largely conducted in urban populations affiliated with large academic medical centers. There have been very few studies focusing on rural populations that also characterize broader changes in inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. Methodology A single-center study was conducted between June 2020 and March 2021 in Abilene, Texas, USA.

In-situ measurements of gaseous and particulate compositions were conducted at a rural coastal site during the 2018 spring Ozone Photochemistry and Export from China Experiment (OPECE). This data set was applied to investigate the recycling of reactive nitrogen through daytime heterogeneous HONO production.

Of this sample (N = 63 students), 100% received free- or reduced-price lunch, 92% identified as Hispanic, and 22% received special education services. T1 instruction focused on implementing practices to support reading comprehension and content learning during social studies instruction.

Recently, modified criteria for diagnosing pheochromocytomas using adrenal CT were developed based on data from 199 patients with surgically proven pheochromocytomas and adenomas. However, these criteria have not been thoroughly validated.

However, when the focus of a study is on the regression coefficients at Level 1 rather than on the random effects, ordinary least squares regression with cluster robust variance estimators (OLS-CRVE) or fixed effects regression with CRVE (FE-CRVE) could be appropriate approaches. These alternative methods are potentially advantageous because they rely on weaker assumptions than those required by CCREM.

Methods: Fifty-four patients with renal tumors were included in this study. The performance of CBCT renal arteriography was classified into three groups: group A, all tumor feeders could be confirmed solely based on the CBCT maximum intensity projection (MIP); group B, all feeders were detected in CBCT MIP, but there were some possible feeders which needed to be confirmed with selective digital subtraction angiography (DSA); and group C, tumor feeders were not detected in CBCT MIP, hence, the feeder was detected based on selective DSA.
Wildfires are a substantial but poorly quantified source of tropospheric ozone (O). Here, to investigate the highly variable O chemistry in wildfire plumes, we exploit the in situ chemical characterization of western wildfires during the FIREX-AQ flight campaign and show that O production can be predicted as a function of experimentally constrained OH exposure, volatile organic compound (VOC) reactivity, and the fate of peroxy radicals. The O chemistry exhibits rapid transition in chemical regimes.

This study investigated salt tolerance in 26 cultivars of cut lilies ( hybrids) by examining the effect of salt stress on the growth and morphological characteristics of flowers and leaves and their physiological properties (chlorophyll a fluorescence). Salt stress significantly affected the growth and development of cut lilies.

Due to its intermittent national shortage since February 2018, the utilization of intravenous metoprolol and verapamil has increased. This study investigated the effect of intravenous diltiazem, metoprolol, and verapamil on rate control in patients with atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular rate.

Recently, the combination of hydrocortisone, ascorbic acid and thiamine (HAT) was hypothesized to work synergistically to reverse septic shock and reduce mortality.
Aim: To ascertain the efficacy of HAT therapy and compare whether HAT therapy is more beneficial compared to the standard of care in sepsis and septic shock patients.
Objective: This study aims to compare and analyze the difference of impact force attenuation according to size and impact location on a Taekwondo body protector.
Methods: Body protectors sized 1 to 5, were impact tested by equipment based on the specifications in the European standard manual (EN 13277-1, 3). The impactor release heights were set to match impact energies of 3 and 15 J.
Scent is one of the most important economic traits in . "Shiny Gold", a popular cultivar in South Korea, is widely cultivated for its scent. The relative scent intensity of "Shiny Gold" was approximately 16% higher in full-bloomed flower when compared to the yellow bud stage, while tissue-specifically, tepals showed higher intensity in electronic-nose (e-nose) analysis.

Thus, we investigated the association between statin adherence and risks of all-cause, cancer, and cardiovascular mortality among dyslipidemia patients in South Korea.
Methods And Results: We used data from the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) National Sample Cohort for the years 2003-2013, which included data on 107,954 middle-aged and elderly dyslipidemia patients.
Background: Intractable bladder hemorrhage from pelvic malignancy can be potentially life-threatening and its management can be a challenging clinical problem.
Purpose: To evaluate safety, efficacy, and clinical outcome of superselective vesical artery embolization for the control of intractable bladder hemorrhage from pelvic malignancy.
Material And Methods: Between January 2010 and September 2018, 20 patients underwent superselective vesical artery embolization for intractable hematuria secondary to pelvic malignancy arising from or invading the bladder.
Cefiderocol (Fetroja) is a siderophore cephalosporin and has demonstrated potent activity against extended-spectrum beta-lactamases producing Enterobacteriaceae, carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae, and nonfermenting Gram-negative bacilli, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, and Acinetobacter baumannii, Burkholderia cepacia, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. However, cefiderocol has limited activity against Gram-positive bacteria and anaerobes like Bacterodies fragilis. In the APEKS-cUTI study, 183 (73%) of 252 patients in the cefiderocol group versus 65 (55%) of 119 patients in the imipenem-cilastatin group achieved the composite outcome of clinical and microbiological eradication of Gram-negative bacteria (treatment difference of 18.

This novel antibiotic was developed to combat the increasing incidence of bacterial resistance to current therapies. As the first semisynthetic pleuromutilin for systemic use in humans, lefamulin has demonstrated efficacy against the most common bacteria responsible for CABP, including strains exhibiting resistance to macrolides, fluoroquinolones, tetracyclines, vancomycin, and beta-lactams.

The recommended dose for these conditions is weight-based (1 mg/kg) and doesn't require dose-capping. However, previous studies have shown that in those with a body mass index (BMI) > 40 kg/m, this dose results in supratherapeutic levels.
