As part of the National Water Management Basic Plan, this study conducted research to identify priority management watersheds in the Yeongsan River basin to respond to changes in water environmental conditions and improve water quality. Analysis of water quality over the past decade revealed that points located in the middle and lower of the Yeongsan River exceeded the target water quality standards. As based on the results, pollution sources and loads indicated that the W-1 watershed, classified as urban areas, exhibited high levels in residential, industrial, and urban landuse characteristics, whereas the W-6 watershed, classified as rural areas, showed high levels in livestock farming, aquaculture, and agricultural landuse (wet and dry filed) categories.

Sustainable hydrogen production is focused on anion exchange membrane (AEM) water electrolyzers (AEMWEs), which still require more development to achieve high performance and durability. Here, we propose a novel class of porous organic polymers (POPs) as durable solid-ionomers for AEMWEs, which was prepared by reacting the 4-methylpiperidone with trifunctional or a mixture of trifunctional:difunctional aromatic monomers (in a 2 : 3 mol ratio). The resulting POP ionomers exhibited exceptional electrochemical properties and remarkable alkaline stability.

A series of polyimides (PIs) was synthesized from 6FDA and two -OH substituted diamines having bulky pendant phenyl, Ph, and trifluoromethyl, CF, groups as precursors for thermally rearranged polybenzoxazole, TR-PBO, membranes. One diamine had two pendant Ph substituents; in the other, the substituents were Ph and CF. Applying azeotropic and chemical cyclizations allowed the obtention of four -hydroxy (-OH) or/and -acetoxy (-OAc) substituted PIs depending on the imidization method.

In this case report, we present a rare occurrence of a narrow-ridged finless porpoise (), discovered on the coast of Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, that was afflicted with adhesive bowel obstruction (ABO), a life-threatening condition that has scarcely been reported in cetaceans.
