Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 (CDK4/6) inhibitors, including abemaciclib, have been approved for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative advanced, and metastatic breast cancer. Despite the high therapeutic efficacy of CDK4/6 inhibitors, they are associated with various adverse effects, including potentially fatal interstitial lung disease. Therefore, a combination of CDK4/6 inhibitors with letrozole or fulvestrant has been attempted but has demonstrated limitations in reducing adverse effects, highlighting the need to develop new combination therapies.

This study assessed the safety and feasibility of PPT in addition to conventional Korean Medicine treatment (CKMT), including electroacupuncture, cupping and infra-red, for lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS).
Patients And Methods: Forty patients diagnosed with LSS were randomly assigned to undergo PPT with CKMT (experimental group) or CKMT alone (control group) at a 1:1 ratio, receiving 10 sessions of each intervention over five weeks.

Although skin aging is apparently associated with changes in the ECM, little is known about the role of TNC in skin aging. Medication treatment is primarily recommended for patients with BPH if their symptom score based on the International Prostate Symptom score (IPSS) is above the moderate level. However, electroacupuncture (EA) and electronic moxibustion (EM), one of the most recent complementary and alternative treatments, are suggested as adjuvant treatments in the improvement of LUTS caused by BPH with respect to the limitations of medication treatments, such as side effects or no improvement in LUTS despite treatment.

The aim of this study was to compare (1) the outcomes of orthodromic and antidromic nerve grafts to clarify the effect of nerve graft polarity and (2) the outcome of either form of nerve grafts with that of nerve repair.
Methods: In 14 of the 26 rabbits used in this study, a 1 cm defect was made in the tibial nerve.
Background/aim: To evaluate whether topical use of a film-forming silicone gel (StrataXRT®) could reduce radiation dermatitis compared to a moisturizing cream (X-derm®) in patients receiving whole breast radiotherapy.
Patients And Methods: A total of 56 patients with breast cancer were randomized to use StrataXRT or X-derm. The severity of radiation dermatitis was graded using physiological skin parameters, clinician-assessed visual rating scales and patient-reported symptoms.
Purpose: Stereotactic radiotherapy, which delivers an ablative high radiation dose to a target volume for maximum local tumor control, requires a rapid dose fall-off outside the target volume to prevent extensive damage to nearby normal tissue. Currently, there is no tool to comprehensively evaluate the dose gradient near the target volume. We propose the dose gradient curve (DGC) as a new tool to evaluate the quality of a treatment plan with respect to the dose fall-off characteristics.
