Background Breast cancer, particularly the triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) subtype, remains a significant clinical challenge due to its resistance to standard chemotherapy and high recurrence rate. In this study, we explored the role of Sterile Alpha Motif Domain-Containing 5 (SAMD5) as a potential regulatory partner with the c-Myc oncogenic signaling pathway in breast cancer. Materials and methods Functional assays were conducted to investigate the effects of SAMD5 overexpression on cell viability, colony formation, and invasive behavior in TNBC cell lines.

This study mainly explores how miR-183-5p pertains to breast cancer (BC) development. Functional assays were employed to test impacts of miR-183-5p in this cancer. Targeting between RGS2 and miR-183-5p was examined with dual-luciferase assay, and how their interaction pertains to cancer progression was further unraveled.

Methods: A total of 213 breast cancer patients were selected and divided into triple-negative breast cancer (100 cases) and non-triple-negative breast cancer (113 cases) according to the expression of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2). Patient information including age, body mass index (BMI), smoking history, drinking history, menopause, tumor classification, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, clinical stage, and EGFR and SMC4 expression were collected for all subjects.
Background: As one of the main malignant tumors, breast cancer remains a worldwide public health issue. Here, we aimed to analyze the effects of breast-conserving surgery (BCS) combined with sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) and axillary preservation on the recurrence, metastasis, complications, and cosmetic results of early breast cancer patients (BCPs).
Methods: The clinical data of 143 BCPs admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to January 2019 were collected retrospectively, and all patients were female.

Aim: To explore the prognostic value of synaptonemal complex protein-2 (SYCP2) in different subtypes of breast cancer. Patients & materials: In silico bioinformatic analysis was conducted using large databases.
Results: SYCP2 was only significantly upregulated in luminal B tumors compared with the adjacent normal tissues.
The aim of the present study was to investigate the feature genes in metastatic breast cancer samples. A total of 5 expression profiles of metastatic breast cancer samples were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus database, which were then analyzed using the MetaQC and MetaDE packages in R language. The feature genes between metastasis and non‑metastasis samples were screened under the threshold of P<0.
