Background/objectives: Spatholobi Caulis (SPC) is a medicinal plant that mainly grows in China and Southeast Asian countries and commonly used in clinics; the pharmacokinetic characteristics in humans need to be determined. This study was to establish the physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models of multiple active constituents from SPC in rats, and predict the pharmacokinetic properties of rats with different dosages and extrapolated to humans.
Methods: The parameters were collected based on our previous study and by prediction using ADMET Predictor software predict.

Purpose: To develop a new prognostic model of autophagy-related genes (ATG) for WT.
Triterpenoid saponins are the main bioactive components contributed to the nutritional value of ginseng, and different process conditions will affect their content and quality. To study the holistic characterization and dynamic changes of triterpenoid saponins in Asian ginseng (ASG) and American ginseng (AMG) during soaking and decoction, a UPLC-Triple TOF-MS/MS-based metabolomics strategy was used to characterize and discover differential saponin markers. In total, 739 triterpenoid saponins (including 225 potential new saponins) were identified from ASG and AMG in untargeted metabolomics.

Early life nutrition is an important factor to shape myelination and consequently cognitive appearance. To analyze the effects of additive nutrients, including 2'-fucosyllactose (2'-FL), osteopontin (OPN), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), on neurocognitive function and brain structure, the current study evaluated the effects of different composition of breast milk nutrients on oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs) myelination with a neural primary cell model .

Genetic ablation of the xenobiotic-metabolizing cytochrome P450 enzyme CYP2E1 in mice markedly induced adipose browning and increased energy expenditure to improve obesity. CYP2E1 deficiency activated the expression of hepatic peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR) target genes, including fibroblast growth factor (FGF) 21, that upon release from the liver, enhanced adipose browning and energy expenditure to decrease obesity.

The median cell mortality (TC) to A549 cells and half effective inhibition concentration (IC) of influenza A (H1N1) virus of XLC were determined by MTT assay. Reed-Muench method was used to calculated the 50% tissue culture infective dose (TCID) of H1N1 virus to A549 cells.

Though numerous studies have reported the effect of EVs on renal fibrosis, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. We hypothesized that BMSC-EVs containing milk fat globule-epidermal growth factor-factor 8 (MFG-E8) could attenuate renal fibrosis by inhibiting the RhoA/ROCK pathway.
