Ethylene (ET) is an important phytohormone that regulates plant growth, development and stress responses. The ethylene-insensitive3/ethylene-insensitive3-like (EIN3/EIL) transcription factor family, as a key regulator of the ET signal transduction pathway, plays an important role in regulating the expression of ET-responsive genes. Although studies of EIN3/EIL family members have been completed in many species, their role in doubled haploid (DH) poplar derived from another culture of diploid × (donor tree, DT) remains ambiguous.

Specifically, helical PDI dimers, horizontal expanded π-conjugated derivatives of PDI, have shown outstanding performance as electron acceptors in enhancing the performance of photovoltaics. Therefore, the exploration of triplet generation in helical PDI dimers plays a crucial role in understanding the mechanisms and excavating their further application.

Brassinosteroids (BRs) are involved in the regulation of biotic and abiotic stresses in plants. The molecular mechanisms of BRs that alleviate the drought stress in quinoa have rarely been reported. Here, quinoa seedlings were treated with 24-epibrassinolide (EBR) and we transiently transferred to the quinoa seedlings' leaves using VIGS technology to analyze the molecular mechanism of the BR mitigation drought stress.

In this study, atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) was used to prepare AlCoCrFeNi high-entropy coatings (HECs), which were oxidized from 650 °C to 1000 °C. The mechanism of the oxide layer formation and the internal phase transition were systematically investigated.

Ionic liquids containing magnetic anionic groups were designed, synthesized, and used as solvents to study the effect on swelling pyrolysis performance. Studies have shown magnetism enhancement with the growth of alkyl chains.

The performance of these devices directly affects tunnel engineering costs and duration. This paper proposes a sinusoidal variable cross-section (VCS) cutter ring and design method and establishes a digital model.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAdipose tissue is a highly attractive reservoir of stem cells due to its accessibility and abundance, and the SVF within it holds great promise for stem cell-based therapies. The use of mechanical methods for SVF isolation from adipose tissue is preferred over enzymatic methods, as it can be readily applied in clinical settings without additional processing steps. However, there is a lack of consensus on the optimal approach for mechanically isolating SVF.

The study provides compelling evidence that the absence of the splicing factor SRSF1 in mature adipocytes results in whitening of brown adipocyte tissue (BAT) and impaired thermogenesis, along with the inhibition of white adipose tissue browning in mice. Combining single-nucleus RNA sequencing with transmission electron microscopy, it is observed that the transformation of BAT cell types is associated with dysfunctional mitochondria, and SRSF1 deficiency leads to degenerated and fragmented mitochondria within BAT.

However, variations in GHG emission-associated metabolic functions during the legume-vegetable rotation process remain largely uncharacterized. Accordingly, a soybean-radish rotation field experiment was designed to clarify the responses of microbial communities and their GHG emission-associated functional metabolism through metagenomics.

MiRNA has distinct physiological functions at various cellular locations. However, few effective computational methods for predicting the subcellular location of miRNA exist, thereby leaving considerable room for improvement. Accordingly, our study proposes the MGFmiRNAloc simplified molecular input line entry system (SMILES) format as a new approach for predicting the subcellular localization of miRNA.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTask switching refers to a set of cognitive processes involved in shifting attention from one task to another. In recent years, researchers have applied transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to investigate the causal relationship between the parietal cortex and task switching. However, results from available studies are highly inconsistent.

Netrin-1 plays an essential role in neurite elongation and pain sensitization. This study aimed to determine the role of netrin-1 from the metastatic bone microenvironment in BCP development and identify the associated signaling pathway for the strategy of BCP management.

Polymorphisms in genes may influence the susceptibility to various cancers, including melanoma.
Aim: We reported a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the association between polymorphisms and susceptibility to cutaneous melanoma.
The immune system has a substantial impact on the growth and expansion of lung malignancies. Immune cells are encompassed by a stroma comprising an extracellular matrix (ECM) and different cells like stromal cells, which are known as the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME). TME is marked by the presence of immunosuppressive factors, which inhibit the function of immune cells and expand tumor growth.

Recent research has reported that scoliosis can spontaneously disappear after lumbar spinal fusion surgery. Researchers have advocated that, for scoliosis associated with vertebral slippage, surgery for the latter may be the only necessary intervention, while unnecessary surgery for scoliosis should be avoided.

The research proposed three stages in the development of aerial combat human-machine fusion intelligence: "Human-Machine Separation, Functional Coordination," "Human-Machine Trust, Task Coordination," and "Human-Machine Integration, Deep Fusion." Currently, the transition from the first stage to the second stage is underway, posing challenges primarily related to the lack of effective methods guiding experimental research on human-machine fusion interaction and trust.

The pilot symbols are simultaneously used in the entire digital signal processing (DSP) modules for polarization de-multiplexing, frequency offset estimation, carrier phase recovery, nonlinear equalization, and linear equalization. Compared to the conventional quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) pilot structure, the proposed MQAM pilot structure can yield the nonlinear properties of the overall signal so that nonlinear equalization can effectively improve the performance of the normalized generalized mutual information.
