A male patient in his 80s underwent colonic stenting for obstructive sigmoid colon cancer with multiple liver metastases. With systemic chemotherapy for approximately 1 year, the liver metastasis disappeared, so laparoscopic sigmoid colectomy was performed for the primary lesion. No recurrence was observed for a while, although CT revealed liver metastasis in the liver S4, and radiofrequency ablation was performed.

A man in his 70s was observed to have GIST recurrence 19 months after surgery. Chemotherapy was initiated with imatinib 400 mg/day orally. The dose was eventually reduced to 100 mg/day to avoid side effects.

A 73-year-old man was admitted to our hospital with disturbance of consciousness, fever and headache. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis revealed pleocytosis with neutrophil predominance, increased protein and low glucose. CSF and blood cultures yielded negative results.

A 67-year-old man presented with left lower cranial nerve paresis and dysfunction of the left cerebellar hemisphere 4 years after amputation of the left lower leg because of clear cell chondrosarcoma (CCC). Neuroimaging studies showed an osteolytic extradural mass with homogeneous enhancement in the left posterior fossa. Bone scintigraphy disclosed a single high-uptake lesion at the same site.
