Real-Time Metasurface Sensor for Monitoring Micropoisons in Aqueous Solutions Based on Gold Nanoparticles and Terahertz Spectroscopy.

Proof of concept of a new real-time metasurface sensor for micropoison monitoring in aqueous solutions is proposed in this study. The sensor comprises a perfect absorber metasurface and gold nanoparticle layer on the front side of it. Frequency-domain terahertz spectroscopy system was used to measure the resonance frequency shift due to the presence of the micropoison.
