Introduction: In the Tessier classification, craniofacial clefts are numbered from 0 to 14 and extend along constant axes through the eyebrows, eyelids, maxilla, nostrils, and the lips. We studied a patient with bilateral cleft 10 associated with ocular abnormalities.

Background: Short upper extremity amputation stumps are difficult to fit with an appropriate-level prosthesis. Fitting at a more proximal level generally results in decreased function. Options in the past have included stump and prosthetic modification, both of which provide limited improvement in function.

Outcomes of lengthening short lower-extremity amputation stumps with planar fixators.

Patients with short lower-extremity amputation stumps exhibit poor prosthetic fit and inefficient gait. Often they are fit at the next-higher prosthetic level, increasing energy consumption. This study aimed to characterize the risk/benefit ratio of stump lengthening with planar external fixators.

Typical facial clefting and constriction band anomalies: an unusual association in three unrelated patients.

The amniotic band sequence is a rare congenital condition in which it is hypothesized that fibrous band of amniotic tissue result in variable soft tissue derangements. Other terms that have been used to describe this condition are amniotic band syndrome and amnion rupture sequence. Patients may present with craniofacial, thoracic, abdominal, and/or limb involvement.
