Background: The complex (Bcc) is an opportunistic pathogen in humans and animals. Deep pyoderma caused by these bacteria in dogs has been previously reported. This case series aims to describe contrasting treatment responses in Bcc-related deep pyoderma in two dogs, a male and a female.

Clarithromycin (CLM) has been known to increase the cyclosporine (CsA) trough level in human and feline organ transplant patients. However, the interaction of CLM with CsA has not been reported in dogs. In this study, the effects of multiple dosing of CLM on the pharmacokinetics of CsA in three healthy beagles were investigated.
