Methods: CT scans were reviewed in 56 patients with nerve disturbance after mandibular implant surgery. Two oral radiologists classified the imaging findings into intrusion, contact, close, and separate groups according to the distance from the inferior border of the implant to the roof of the mandibular canal (MC).
Recent studies suggest that targeting transcriptional machinery can lead to potent and selective anticancer effects in cancers dependent on high and constant expression of certain transcription factors for growth and survival. Cyclin-dependent kinase 7 (CDK7) is the catalytic subunit of the CDK-activating kinase complex. Its function is required for both cell-cycle regulation and transcriptional control of gene expression.

Methods: Pre- and posttreatment records including orthodontic casts, cephalograms, and standardized periapical radiographs were retrospectively collected from young adults (aged 19-30 years; n = 12) and middle-aged adults (aged ≥40 years; n = 27). Following the American Board of Orthodontics criteria, discrepancy index (DI), cast-radiograph evaluation (CRE), treatment duration (TD), marginal bone loss (MBL), and tooth length (TL) were measured, and with the use of periapical radiographs, changes in the level of marginal bone (MBC) and the amount of root resorption (RR) after orthodontic treatment were calculated.
Background: It is unknown whether a selective-bundle tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) shows a different prevalence of posterolateral corner (PLC) injury than a both-bundle tear.
Purpose: The prevalence of injury of PLC stabilizer in relation to the type of combined ACL tear (both-bundle and selective-bundle tears) has been investigated.
Material And Methods: This retrospective study included 94 patients who were diagnosed with an ACL tear after knee joint magnetic resonance imaging and underwent arthroscopic surgery.
Objective: To compare the accuracy of contrast-enhanced digital mammography (CEDM) and MRI, including maximal intensity projection (MIP) images, for measuring the tumour size of breast cancer.
Methods: We included 52 females (mean age, 50.9 years) with surgery due to breast cancer, and measured maximum diameter of main mass on mediolateral oblique (MLO) and craniocaudal (CC) views of mammography and CEDM; sagittal, axial MIP images, and early dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (CEMRI) before surgery.
Purpose: We compared two imaging techniques to assess whether 3D VISTA imaging could replace 2D FSE in diagnosing PCL reconstruction complications.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included 40 patients who underwent surgery of PCL reconstruction and follow-up knee MRI (3D VISTA and 2D FSE) for evaluation of PCL graft integrity. Each image was interpreted independently by two radiologists without knowledge of radiologic reports or clinical history.
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) with clear cell morphology may show a prominent delicate vascularity. In this article, we report the morphologic and immunohistochemical features of a clear cell papillary RCC mimicking hemangioblastoma and a clear cell RCC mimicking hemangioma. Case 1 showed tubular and papillary growth of clear cells with distinctive areas of capillary proliferation and admixed stromal-like cells resembling a hemangioblastoma.

The quality control program on three areas, chemical analysis for biological monitoring since 1995, and pneumoconiosis, audiometric testing since 1996, has contributed to improve the reliability of occupational health screenings by improving the issues including standardization of testing methods, tools, diagnostic opinions, and reliability of analysis for biological monitoring. It has contributed to improving the reliability of occupational health monitoring by rectifying the following issues associated with previous monitoring: absence of standardized testing methods, testing tools that are not upgraded, mismatching diagnostic opinions, and unreliable results of biological specimen analysis.

Compared to opioids, Nefopam is associated with lower incidences of PONV, and does not induce gastrointestinal tract injury, coagulopathy, nephrotoxicity, or fracture healing dysfunction, which are common side effects of Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. We compared nefopam- and fentanyl-induced incidence of PONV in patients with access to patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) following bimaxillary orthognathic surgeries.

Introduction: This study quantitatively assessed movement of anchor teeth connected to a miniscrew (indirect anchor tooth) and investigated factors affecting movement during adjunctive orthodontic treatment.
Methods: Dental plaster models of 28 patients whose treatment included an indirect anchor tooth on one side were collected before and after treatment. The casts were digitally scanned, and 2 groups were constituted: the indirect anchor teeth (experimental group; n = 52) and the untreated teeth (control group; the first and second premolars opposing the indirect anchor tooth to which no orthodontic force was applied; n = 55).
Alcohol increases the risk of both hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and colorectal neoplasia. In this hospital-based case-control and retrospective cohort study, we sought to determine whether development of colorectal neoplasia increases the risk of HCC in patients with alcoholic liver disease (ALD). In the phase I case-control analysis, the association between history of colorectal cancer (CRC) and HCC development was assessed in patients with ALD by logistic regression modeling (n = 1,659).

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included consecutive patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion and facial asymmetry who had undergone bimaxillary orthognathic surgery and serial CBCT before, 1 month after, and 1 year after surgery. CBCT images were reconstructed and analyzed for predictor (group and timing) and outcome (CBCT measurements over time) variables.
Background: The present study examined whether adult height was associated with all site-combined or site-specific cancers.
Methods: We used a nationwide claim data of 22,809,722 Korean participants including both men and women (2009-2012). The deciles of height from different age and sex groups were merged into a new quintile.
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the dynamics of alveolar bone formation and healing pattern after the removal of orthodontic temporary anchorage devices (TADs).
Methods: Miniscrews (N = 32) were inserted into the buccal inter-radicular alveolar bone in beagle dogs. Afterward, miniscrews were removed at different time points during a 13-week period and six different in vivo fluorescent markers were injected at 1, 2, 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks.
Background: The use of biologics in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has increased recently. However, studies on whether the proportion of IBD patient visits to the emergency department (ED) has decreased are scarce. We investigated the trends in IBD-related ED visits and hospitalization rates.

Methods: This single-center, prospective study was approved by the Institutional Review Board, and informed consent was obtained from all patients. From November 2016 to October 2017, 84 patients who were diagnosed with invasive carcinoma (69/84) and ductal carcinoma (15/84), and underwent both CEDM and CEMRI, were enrolled.
Objectives: To determine whether the success rate and primary stability of surface-treated miniscrews differ from those of nontreated miniscrews.
Materials And Methods: Patients who required one or more miniscrews for the same reason in each quadrant were recruited into a single-blinded, split-mouth, randomized, controlled trial with a 1:1 allocation ratio. Self-drilling miniscrews with two surface types were used: those with no surface treatment, and those with an acid-etched surface treatment.
Ultrasound (US)-guided salivary gland irrigation is a popular conservative treatment method that improves the success rate and reduces complications of the sialo-irrigation procedure. US is routinely used for evaluation of various salivary gland diseases because of its easy accessibility and absence of ionizing radiation. US also allows dynamic studies with real-time imaging during diagnostic or surgical procedures.
