To describe the prevalence of overweight and obesity and examine their relationship with socio-demographic factors in Thai adults. Using data from a cross-sectional survey, the National Health Examination Survey II (NHESII), the authors examined the prevalence of overweight (BMI > or = 25 kg/m2) and obesity (BMI > or = 30 kg/m2) in 3,220 Thai adults aged 20-59 yr. Univariate analyses and Logistic regression models were used to examine the association of overweight and obesity with socio-demographic and behavioral risk factors.
