Assessing the nutritional value of muscle food (MF) necessitates comprehensive component analysis. Traditional chemical analytical methods are often time-intensive, destructive, and environmentally detrimental, requiring specialized laboratory expertise. Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) emerges as an innovative technique that effectively integrates spectral and spatial information to enable rapid, nondestructive, and multidimensional predictions of nutritional parameters in MF.

This study reported the use of a portable detection device based on a miniaturized visible/near-infrared spectrometer, combined with data noise reduction and machine learning methods, to predict the total viable count (TVC) in pork samples. A rapid detection device for pork TVC was designed based on the miniaturized spectrometer; a spectral preprocessing method based on the resolution of the spectrometer was proposed; the effects of different preprocessing methods on the full-wavelength modeling effect were compared; and four different feature wavelength extraction algorithms were utilized for the feature wavelengths of pork TVC.

In this study, we investigated the feasibility of using visible near-infrared (VNIR) spectroscopy (400-1000 nm) combined with transfer learning (TL) to track the chemical spoilage of pork. The base models developed using the full band for pork TVC, total volatile basic nitrogen, pH, and color showed predictability; the correlation coefficient of prediction set (R) for all models ranged from 0.

Contaminants are generally trapped within the estuarine maximum turbidity zone (MTZ), where SPM concentrations peak, misleading flux estimation. Here, we conducted high-resolution continuous sampling over two tidal cycles within the MTZ of a semidiurnal estuary.

However, issues such as signal noise, fluctuations, and spectral shifts can negatively impact its performance in detecting ractopamine in pork. Hierarchical Gradient Aware Spectral Network (HGASNet) was proposed to address these issues.

This study aimed to investigate the potentiality of visible and fluorescence images for the determination of color value of pelletized red pepper. The imaging problem, caused by the cylindrical shape and irregular cross-sectional features of the pelletized red peppers, was reduced through the extraction of an approximate plane region.

To achieve this, sediments were collected in 2009 and 2021 from China's coastal regions. Despite the consistent geographical pattern where the highest concentrations of ∑PFAS were found in the Yellow Sea, temporal changes have emerged.

Methods: A total of 391 patients with ESCC and 452 healthy controls were enrolled to evaluate the effect of SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms) on ESCC susceptibility.
Objective: Some patients with intracerebral hemorrhage show lesions on diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging, and such lesions have been associated with a greater risk of worse prognosis. Here we meta-analyzed the available evidence for such an association.
Methods: Studies that reported the presence or absence of lesions on diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) after intracerebral hemorrhage as well as clinical or radiological outcomes were systematically reviewed and meta-analyzed.
Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Shenlin Baizhu Decoction (SLBZD), which comes from 'Taiping Huimin Heji Ju Fang', belongs to a classical prescription for treating spleen deficiency and dampness obstruction (SQDDS)-type ulcerative colitis (UC) in traditional Chinese medicine. However, the mechanism of SLBZD in treating UC with SQDDS remains unclear.
Aim Of The Study: This study aims to investigate the mechanism of SLBZD against SQDDS-type UC of based on the "gut microbiota and metabolism - bone marrow" axis to induce endogenous bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) homing.
In zebrafish, brain lymphatic endothelial cells (BLECs) are essential for meningeal angiogenesis and cerebrovascular regeneration. Although epidermal growth factor-like domain 7 (Egfl7) has been reported to act as a pro-angiogenic factor, its roles in lymphangiogenesis remain unclear. Here, we show that Egfl7 is expressed in both blood and lymphatic endothelial cells.

Background And Purpose: Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are involved in innate immunity and inflammatory responses in various diseases. Our study aimed to investigate the association between the levels of soluble TLR4 (sTLR4) and soluble TLR2 (sTLR2) and clinical outcomes following intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).
Methods: Patients admitted to department of Neurology with acute ICH were included.
Background: We previously reported that the HMGB1/TLR4 axis promoted inflammation during the acute phase of intracerebral hemorrhage. Given that this phase is known to involve neuronal pyroptosis and neuroinflammation, here we explore whether HMGB1/TLR signaling activate inflammasome and pyroptosis after intracerebral hemorrhage.
Methods: Autologous blood was injected into Sprague-Dawley rats to induce intracerebral hemorrhage.
Background: Most of the investigations on distinct crystal structures of catalysts are individually focused on the difference of surface functional groups or adsorption properties, but rarely explore the changes of active sites to affect the electrocatalytic performance. Catalysts with diverse crystal structures had been applied to modified electrodes in different electrocatalytic reactions. However, there is currently a lack of an essential understanding for the role of real active sites in catalysts with crystalline structures in electroanalysis, which is crucial for designing highly sensitive sensing interfaces.

Osteoporosis can lead to increased fragility of the skeleton, making it prone to brittle fractures. Osteoclasts are macrophage-like cells derived from hematopoietic stem cells, and their excessive activity in bone resorption leads to lower bone formation than absorption during bone remodeling, which is one of the important factors inducing osteoporosis.

Herein, the in-situ precipitation of Co particles on CoVO not only enhanced the concentration of oxygen vacancies (Ov) but also generated a greater number of low-valence metals, thereby enabling efficient reduction towards Hg(II). The electroanalysis results demonstrate that the sensitivity of Co/CoVO towards Hg(II) was measured at an impressive value of 1987.

Therefore, the spectral pre-processing method of spectral-to-spectral ratio (S/S), as well as multiple characteristic wavelength member model fusion (MCMF) and characteristic wavelength and non-characteristic wavelength member model fusion (CNCMF) methods, were proposed for improving the detection performance of apple whole fruit SSC by diffuse reflection (DR), diffuse transmission (DT) and full transmission (FT) spectra. The modeling analysis showed that the S/S- partial least squares regression models for all three mode spectra had high prediction performance.
