Ac radionuclides have shown great potential for use as radiopharmaceuticals in cancer therapy by conjugation them with carrier molecules due to their strong cytotoxicity, suitable half-life, and ability to be used as Bi generators. The production of Ac via bombardment of Th targets with accelerated protons is currently the most widely used method in the world. In order to better quantify the achievable yields and radiopurity, this production process is simulated in this study.

Methods: Patients who received head and neck CTA and DSA between January 2019 and December 2021 in two centers were included. The quantitative performance of CerebralDoc per-lesion was evaluated through intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) and Bland-Altman analysis, comparing automated stenosis measurements and manual measurements across 0-100%, < 50%, ≥ 50% and ≥ 70% thresholds.
Background: Falls are the most common injuries in older adults, and fall prevention is one of the primary measures to achieve healthy aging. Self-management refers to the measures taken by individuals to avoid various adverse factors and health damage to protect and promote their health. This study aimed to explore the factors and measures of self-managed fall prevention among community-dwelling older adults.

Materials And Methods: Patients who underwent head and neck CTA examinations at two hospitals were retrospectively included. CTA examinations were randomized into group 1 (without AI-washout-with AI) and group 2 (with AI-washout-without AI), and six readers (two radiology residents, two non-neuroradiologists, and two neuroradiologists) independently interpreted each CTA examination without and with AI solutions.
Purpose: To externally validate the performance of automated postprocessing (AP) on head and neck CT Angiography (CTA) and compare it with manual postprocessing (MP).
Methods: This retrospective study included head and neck CTA-exams of patients from three tertiary hospitals acquired on CT scanners from five manufacturers. AP was performed by CerebralDoc.
Purpose: To externally validate the performance of automated stenosis detection on head and neck CT angiography (CTA) and investigate the impact factors using an independent bi-center dataset with digital subtraction angiography (DSA) as the ground truth.
Material And Methods: Patients who underwent head and neck CTA and DSA between January 2019 and December 2021 were retrospectively included. The degree of stenosis was automatically evaluated using CerebralDoc based on CTA.
The radiation characteristics of spallation products are important references for evaluating the materials used as spallation targets. Therefore, it is necessary to study the radiation characteristics of spallation products. In this study, the spallation products of tungsten-iron-nickel target and lead-bismuth target were calculated and analyzed based on the radionuclide distributions and decay photon shielding of the spallation products.

Empty-nesters refer to older adults who were not living with their children, were living alone, or were living independently with their spouses. The mental health of empty-nesters needs timely attention.

However, despite adoption of prevention strategies, the number of falls in older adults has not declined. This study aimed to develop a questionnaire to assess fall prevention knowledge and explore associated factors among Chinese community-dwelling older adults.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Falls are common among adults aged 60 years and older because of physiological changes. Most falls in older adults occur most often at home. Coupled with the lack of awareness and knowledge of preventing falls, the proportion of injuries and deaths among older adults due to falls is increasing yearly.

The measurement of these needs in populations of older adults has been limited and inadequate. Yet, results from such an assessment are likely to be valuable in policymaking, specifically toward the goal of healthy aging.

Three-way concept analysis (3WCA) is extended research of formal concept analysis (FCA) by combining three-way decision. The three-way object oriented concept lattice (OEOL) is one of the important data structures which integrates rough set, concept lattice and three-way decision in 3WCA. In the paper, we investigate the characteristics of formal context based on the isomorphic relationship among the kinds of concept lattices with OEOL.

In this study, we evaluated whether gene expression is associated with the prognosis of patients with lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) using publicly available data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). Wilcoxon signed-rank test and logistic regression were performed to evaluate the association between expression and clinical features in patients with LUAD.

In this study, we aimed to study the role of TP63 regulation in the tumorigenesis of gastric cancer (GC).
Methods: Computational and luciferase analysis were used to search and confirm the target of miR-140.
Background: Hydatid disease is a severe and widespread human cestode infection, and in children, the lung is the most commonly infected organ. In current practice, the standard surgical procedure for the removal of pulmonary hydatid cysts is thoracotomy; therefore, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) to treat pediatric pulmonary hydatid disease. To our knowledge, this is the first and large sample comparative study of VATS and thoracotomy for pediatric pulmonary hydatid disease.

A total of 90 patients with COPD from 2002 to 2012 were enrolled into our study, comprising 22 who underwent conventional thoracotomies and 68 VATS. Pulmonary function testings, arterial blood gases analysis, and quality of life between these two groups were compared.

Here, we report that LASP1 is overexpressed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) where it promotes invasion and metastasis. We found that LASP1 overexpression in PDAC cells was mediated by HIF1α through direct binding to a hypoxia response element in the LASP1 promoter.

Based on the falling shadow theory, the concept of falling fuzzy (implicative) ideals as a generalization of that of a T ∧-fuzzy (implicative) ideal is proposed in MV-algebras. The relationships between falling fuzzy (implicative) ideals and T-fuzzy (implicative) ideals are discussed, and conditions for a falling fuzzy (implicative) ideal to be a T ∧-fuzzy (implicative) ideal are provided. Some characterizations of falling fuzzy (implicative) ideals are presented by studying proprieties of them.
