Signal-responsive gene expression is essential for vascular development, yet the mechanisms integrating signaling inputs with transcriptional activities are largely unknown. Here we show that RNF20, the primary E3 ubiquitin ligase for histone H2B, plays a multifaceted role in sprouting angiogenesis. RNF20 mediates RNA polymerase (Pol II) promoter-proximal pausing at genes highly paused in endothelial cells, involved in VEGFA signaling, stress response, cell cycle control and mRNA splicing.

In this study, we identified a functional pool of SLIT-ROBO Rho GTPase-activating protein 2 (SRGAP2) in the mitochondria of CRC cells as an important regulator of CRC chemosensitivity. Various 2-monoarylated indole-3-ones were readily obtained with yields up to 95%. Here we have investigated the biochemical characteristics and physiological roles of these proteins with particular reference to the synthesis of extracellular polysaccharide (EPS). XC1166, XC1223 and XC1976 were overexpressed as fusion proteins with a His(6) affinity tag and purified by nickel affinity chromatography.
