Article Synopsis
  • The study examines how m6A methylation in wheat is affected by drought stress, finding that TaETC9 may help regulate drought tolerance through RNA methylation.
  • Researchers identified 4221 m6A peaks in 3733 genes, with 373 peaks showing different expressions under drought conditions compared to control conditions.
  • The results indicate that higher levels of m6A are linked to increased mRNA abundance, and the deletion of TaETC9 increased drought sensitivity, suggesting its essential role in drought resistance in wheat.

Background: The determinate growth habits is beneficial for plant architecture modification and the development of crops cultivars suited to mechanized production systems. Which play an important role in the genetic improvement of crops. In Brassica napus, a determinate inflorescence strain (4769) has been discovered among doubled haploid (DH) lines obtained from a spring B.

The study aims to investigate the role of microRNA-149-3p (miR-149-3p) in regulating osteogenic differentiation of human adipose-derived stem cells (hADSCs) by targeting v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homolog 1 (AKT1). Bioinformatics websites and a dual luciferase reporter assay were used to predict and verify the targeting relationship between miR-149-3p and AKT1. The hADSCs were divided into the blank, negative control (NC), mimic, control siRNA, AKT1 siRNA, and miR-149-3p inhibitors + AKT1 siRNA groups and then subjected to Alizarin Red staining, Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) staining, ALP activity detections, MTT assay, and EdU cell proliferation assay.

Damaging thermal stimuli trigger long-lasting variation potentials (VPs) in higher plants. Owing to limitations in conventional plant electrophysiological recording techniques, recorded signals are composed of signals originating from all of the cells that are connected to an electrode. This limitation does not enable detailed spatio-temporal distributions of transmission and electrical activities in plants to be visualised.
