Epoxy asphalt concrete (EAC) is a widely used steel bridge deck pavement (SBDP) material. Due to the curing reaction, the EAC-based material needs a long curing period before opening to traffic, which in an inconvenience in the construction of SBDP. This study developed a cold mix high-early-strength (CHES) epoxy asphalt through the design of a compatilizer and curing agent system.

Aim: To establish a new chemiluminescent assay with high sensitivity for detecting E. coli O157:H7 in food.
Methods: The assay was established based on the alkaline phosphatase (ALP) labeled anti-E.
A novel array-pattern ring microfluidic chip has been designed and fabricated with ITO glass, and a low-cost, easy-to-use active magnetic mixer is developed. The mixer consists of externally driven magnetic stir plates and ferromagnetic microneedles as active mobile stirrers in the microchannel. Mixing performance in the microfluidic chip has been experimentally characterized by chemiluminescence immunoassay of human thyrotropin (TSH) and compared with tube-based chemiluminescence immunoassay.

Aim: To establish a low cost and sensitive microbeads-based chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLEIA) for detecting human thyrotropin.
Methods: Thyrotropin in sera was captured by an alkaline phosphase-labeled mAb against TSH beta subunit and a FITC-labeled mAb against TSH alpha subunit. Captured thyrotropin was then isolated with immuno-magnetic beads conjugated with anti-FITC antibody and then quantified by chemiluminescence using adamanatane amine as luminescent substrate.
