Improving the self-healing performance of asphalt by employing encapsulation technology is a topic of wide interest. This study investigated the performance of sunflower oil, engine oil, and waste cooking oil based on the microhealing mechanism of asphalt with compartmented polymeric fiber. Two typical Chinese soils including southern paddy soil and northern calcareous soils were used in a pot experiment to evaluate the effect of magnesium slag-based fertilizer on heavy metal accumulation and health risk in soil-plant system. The results indicated that magnesium slag-based fertilizer promoted the growth of maize plants. The concentrations of Cr, Cu, Pb and Zn in both soils amended with magnesium slag-based fertilizer were qualified for the second level criterion of Standard of Soil Environment (GB 15618-2009).

Method: Twenty-nine cases of middle ear cholesteatoma tissue, 18 cases of external auditory canal tissue were detected by limulus amebocyte lysate assay (LAL-assay), and expression of MMP-9 protein in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues was detected by immunohistochemical method.

The peripheral projections of neurons expressing neuroendocrine secretory protein 55 (NESP55), a novel member of the chromogranin family, were studied by retrograde tracing technique. It was found that NESP55 positive neurons in the rat superior cervical ganglion projected to a number of targets including the submandibular gland, the cervical lymph nodes, the forehead skin, the iris, but not to the thyroid. Among these NESP55 positive target-projecting neurons, a subpopulation contained neuropeptide Y (NPY), a vasoconstrictor.

The immunohistochemical expression of a novel chromogranin-like protein, neuroendocrine secretory protein 55 (NESP55), in the rat spinal cord was investigated. NESP55-immunoreactive cells were detected in the ventral horn, intermediate laminae, and deep dorsal horn, comprising motoneurons, autonomic neurons, and interneurons throughout all spinal segments.
