Adsorption-assisted photocatalytic degradation of pollutants is an effective method to improve degradation efficiency. However, most adsorptive photocatalysts are not selective and cannot efficiently remove low-concentration targets in complex systems, which limit their practical application. Therefore, a novel molecularly imprinted photocatalyst (MI-BiOIO) with high selectivity and adsorption capacity was prepared using two-dimensional BiOIO nanosheet as the matrix.

While their microporous structure is not conducive to entry of larger molecules, making it difficult to simultaneously utilize the inner and outer surfaces of the pores to achieve higher adsorption capacity. In this work, the hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide was employed as soft template to prepare a novel hierarchical porous ZIF-8 (HP-ZIF-8) in water.

Microenvironment-responsive hydrogel dressings have shown great advantages, and photothermal antibacterial therapy is a potential antimicrobial strategy to avoid the generation of resistant bacteria. In this work, a glucose-triggered near-infrared (NIR)-responsive photothermal antibacterial hydrogel was designed and named GOGD based on a cascade reaction of glucose oxidation and polyphenol polymerization.

ADR is generally sun-dried post-harvest but is sometimes sulfur-fumigated to prevent decay and rot. Although there are some studies on the effect of sulfur fumigation on ADR, they are not comprehensive.

In this study, we designed a compound 1,4,5-triphenyl-2-(pyren-1-yl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazole (IM-PY) which was achieved with two crystalline polymorphs (IMPY-G and IMPY-B). They exhibit the green emission and the blue emission, respectively, both with pyrene serving as the luminescent core.

In situ high-pressure Raman spectroscopy and synchrotron angular dispersive x-ray diffraction techniques, combined with first-principles calculations, have been performed to investigate the 1-methylhydantoin (C4H6N2O2, 1-MH) molecular crystal. High-pressure experiments have shown that phase I (monoclinic system) begins to transform into phase II (orthorhombic system) at pressures above 4.0 GPa, and the transformation range is from 4.

We collected 111 daily (∼24 h) ambient PM samples within an urban region of North China during four seasons of 2019-2020. PM samples were examined for carbonaceous components, water-soluble ions, and elements, together with their oxidative potential (represent ROS-producing ability) by DTT assay.

To address this issue, we constructed enhanced CWs and conducted orthogonal experiments to investigate the effects of different factors (C/N, fillers, and plants) on the removal of conventional pollutants and the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission. The experimental results indicated that a C/N of 8, manganese sand, and calamus achieved the best denitrification efficiencies with removal efficiencies of 85.
