Background: LIM domain is considered to be important in mediating protein-protein interactions, and members of the LIM protein family can co-regulate tissue-specific gene expression by interacting with different transcription factors. However, its exact function in vivo remains unclear. Our study demonstrates that the LIM protein family member Lmpt may act as a cofactor that interacts with other transcription factors to regulate cellular functions.

A new effective multi-dithiocarbamate heavy metal precipitant, disodium N,N-bis-(dithiocarboxy) ethanediamine (BDE), was synthesized by mixing ethanediamine with carbon disulfide under alkaline conditions, and it was utilized for removing trace ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid copper (II) (EDTA-Cu) from wastewater. Its structure was confirmed by ultraviolet spectra, Fourier transform infrared spectra, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and elemental analysis. The removal performance of EDTA-Cu by BDE was evaluated according to BDE dosage, initial concentration, pH, and reaction time through single-factor experiments.

Aniline aerofloat (DDA) is a widely used material in China and has become a main pollutant in floatation wastewater. In this study, a membrane reactor (MBR) was constructed to continuously treat simulated wastewater contaminated with DDA. The study investigated the hydraulic retention time (HRT) and the impact of influent DDA concentration on MBR performance, and analyzed intermediates from the DDA biodegradation pathway and activated sludge transfer pathway.

Dianilinodithiophosphoric acid (DDA) is widely used as sulfide mineral flotation collector in China. It is necessary to investigate the biodegradability of DDA to provide the fundamental knowledge to assess the environmental fate in the risk assessment of DDA and to design and operate the DDA flotation wastewater biological treatment plant. In the present study, the primary and ready aerobic biodegradations of DDA were studied and the primary biodegradation kinetic model of DDA was developed.

Aniline aerofloat (dianilinodithiophosphoric acid (C6H5NH)2PSSH) is a widely used phosphorodithioic organic flotation collector that contains aniline groups and dithiophosphate groups. In the present study, sodium hypochlorite solution was used to oxidize aniline aerofloat. The effect of operational parameters and optimum oxidation conditions on aniline aerofloat was studied, and the oxidation pathway of aniline aerofloat was proposed by analyzing its main oxidation intermediates.

Sludge conditioning with Fenton's reagent and lime is a valid method for sludge dewatering. This study investigated the influence of different organic matter content sludge on sludge dewatering and discussed the main mechanism of sludge conditioning by combined Fenton's reagent and lime. The results indicated that the specific resistance to filterability (SRF) of sludge was reduced efficiently by approximately 90%, when conditioned with Fenton's reagent and lime.
