Article Synopsis
  • The study addresses challenges in simulating the structure and stress of underground coal and rock due to material variability and size limitations by developing a new lightweight, rock-like porous material for large-scale modeling.
  • Quasi-static uniaxial compression tests reveal that this material exhibits three distinct stress-strain phases and that its mechanical properties, such as strength and elasticity, increase with density.
  • The research highlights the significant role of polypropylene fibers in enhancing the material's strength and stability under stress, and establishes relationships between density and mechanical parameters, offering insights for better control of rock-like porous materials' behavior in engineering applications.

Rock burst disaster affects underground mining safety. The energy-absorbing hydraulic support for preventing tunnel impact has been implemented in rock burst mines. In order to compare the impact resistance characteristics of conventional columns and energy-absorbing columns, based on the derivation of energy theory, the CEL fluid-solid coupling simulation algorithm is used to simulate the process of static load 1000 kN superimposed impact load 1500 kN on φ180 mm type conventional column and energy-absorbing column.

Considering the current situation that it's difficult to quantify the discrimination of rockburst hazard, an analytical solution for the softening zone energy of surrounding rock under rockburst in a circular roadway is obtained theoretically based on the elastoplastic softening model of a circular roadway. The critical softening zone energy, critical softening zone radius, critical roadway shrinkage displacement, and critical roadway shrinkage rate are determined. An energy extreme value discrimination method of softening zone for bursting hazard is proposed.

In many real-world systems, such as Internet of Thing, sensitive data streams are collected and analyzed continually. To protect privacy, a number of mechanisms are designed to achieve ϵ-differential privacy for processing sensitive streaming data, whose privacy loss is rigorously controlled within a given parameter ϵ. However, most of the existing studies do not consider the effect of temporal correlations among the continuously generated data on the privacy loss.

Objectives: We present SHARE, a new system for statistical health information release with differential privacy. We present two case studies that evaluate the software on real medical datasets and demonstrate the feasibility and utility of applying the differential privacy framework on biomedical data.

Materials And Methods: SHARE releases statistical information in electronic health records with differential privacy, a strong privacy framework for statistical data release.
