- A new series of 2-hydroxyphenyl substituted aminoacetamides were designed and synthesized to test their effectiveness as antifungal agents.
- Some of these compounds exhibited strong antifungal activity against pathogens S. sclerotiorum and P. capsici, with compound 5e showing particularly high potency.
- The study indicated that specific functional groups (hydroxyl and carbonyl) are important for their antifungal effects and suggested that the SDH enzyme may be a target for these compounds.
