Background: This study explores the efficacy of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and rTMS combined with repetitive peripheral magnetic stimulation (rPMS) (hereinafter referred to as rTMS + rPMS) on motor symptoms and quality of life in Parkinson's disease (PD), and explores whether there are differences between the two treatment methods; At the same time, analyze data from different subgroups to explore the influencing factors, in order to find the most suitable treatment group.
Methods: Eighty patients with PD were randomly divided into rTMS and rTMS + rPMS groups and administered 10 Hz rTMS, and 10 Hz rTMS + 25 Hz rPMS, respectively, for 10 days. Before and after treatment, the PD Motor Function Rating Scale (UPDRS Part III, 10m Walk Timing Test, Stand Up Walk Test Evaluation Scale (TUG)) and PD Quality of Life Questionnaire (PDQ-39) were used to evaluate the motor symptoms and quality of life.
Understanding the spatial distribution of soil Pb and its potential influence mechanism is significant for controlling Pb pollution in tea plantations and guaranteeing food safety. The linear and nonlinear relationships between Pb and environmental variables have been widely studied, but the threshold and interaction effects of its environmental variables are often neglected. In this study, 81 tea plantation soils were collected and determined the thresholds and interaction effects of environmental variables on Pb through the GBDT model.

It is shown that regularly designed hydrogenation to graphene gives rise to a large band gap about 1 eV. Remarkably, by changing the spatial pattern of the hydrogenation, topologically distinct states can be realized, where the topological nontriviality is detected by parity indices in bulk and confirmed by the existence of gapless edge/interface states as protected by the mirror and sublattice symmetries.

Key findings include: (1) Significant monthly variations in convective storm frequency, with peaks in August over land areas of Zhangzhou and Xiamen's northwest, and offshore southeast of Xiamen. Seasonal circulation patterns, particularly the subtropical high and northern high-level troughs, drive these variations.

This paper proposes an appearance quality classification method for Auricularia auricula based on the improved Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Networks (improved Faster RCNN) framework. The original Faster RCNN is improved by establishing a multiscale feature fusion detection model to improve the accuracy and real-time performance of the model.

The study investigated HMs and MPs in Qianxi's high geological background soil, established a model for risk evaluation with MPs types and shapes, and proposed a two-dimensional comprehensive index model for MPs-HMs combined pollution and risk evaluation criterion. The results revealed a high soil Cd concentration, with a mean value of 0.

Using first-principles calculations and Wannier tight-binding modeling, we discover a higher-order topological invariant associated withsymmetry of the material, and show that the resultant corner modes appear in nanoflakes matching to the structure of precursor reported previously, which are ready for direct experimental observations. In addition, we find that a band inversion between emergent-like and-like orbitals gives rise to a nontrivial topology characterized byZ2invariant protected by an energy gap as large as 0.

This study targets the Sichuan Basin (SCB), a deep basin isolated by plateaus and mountains in Southwest China, by employing WRF-Chem with integrated process rates (IPR) analysis to characterize the terrain-driven seasonal variations of tropospheric ozone (O) with atmospheric physical and chemical processes. Results show that the basin terrain exerts reversed impacts on regional air quality changes by aggravating summertime and alleviating wintertime near-surface O with the relative contributions oscillating seasonally between -40% and 40% in SCB.

The contents of catechin monomers and eight other trace elements were measured using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), respectively. The results showed that the tender summer leaves of Niaowang tea in Guizhou Province had the highest content of catechins at 3558.

Channel-cut monochromators are sometimes chosen to filter monochromatic X-ray beams by virtue of their ultrahigh angular stability. Nevertheless, high-accuracy polishing on the inner diffracting surfaces remains challenging, thus hampering their performance in preserving the coherence or wavefront of the photon beam.

The neuroprotective effects of skin-derived precursor Schwann cells may be attributable to the release of growth factors that nourish host cells. In this study, we first established a cellular model of Parkinson's disease using 6-hydroxydopamine.

We hypothesized that skin-derived precursor cells exhibit neuroprotective effects in Parkinson's disease through affecting autophagy. In this study, 6-hydroxydopamine-damaged SH-SY5Y cells were pretreated with a culture medium containing skin-derived precursors differentiated into Schwann cells (SKP-SCs).

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) can not only regulate gene transcription and translation, but also participate in the development of central nervous system diseases as epigenetic modification factors. However, their functional significance in atherosclerosis-induced ischemic stroke (AIIS) is unclear. The study aimed to screen out differentially expressed lncRNAs (delncRNAs), and to elucidate their potential regulatory mechanisms in the pathophysiology of AIIS.

Methods: Twenty CSVD with CI subjects, 21 CSVD without CI subjects, and 25 healthy elderly controls were recruited. The within- and between-network patterns of the networks were identified based on resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data.
Hypertension has a close affinity to brain degeneration and cognitive decline during the aging process. The default mode network (DMN) is usually affected in various diseases related to cognitive impairment (CI). The present research aimed to explore the alterations in the DMN and its subcomponents in hypertensive patients with and without CI and to investigate the associations between cognitive performance and network abnormalities.

The candidates of regular reflectors such as corner cube prism and right angle prism are analyzed by the homogeneous coordinate transformation method, which provides a theoretical basis for the determination of the actual reflector. Furthermore, the influences of the phase loss of the determined reflector are strictly argued due to non-perfect or natural characteristics itself.

Three feature extraction algorithms, such as the principal component analysis (PCA), the discrete cosine transform (DCT) and the non-negative factorization (NMF), were used to extract the main information of the spectral data in order to weaken the influence of the spectral fluctuation on the subsequent quantitative analysis results based on the SERS spectra of the pesticide thiram. Then the extracted components were respectively combined with the linear regression algorithm--the partial least square regression (PLSR) and the non-linear regression algorithm--the support vector machine regression (SVR) to develop the quantitative analysis models. Finally, the effect of the different feature extraction algorithms on the different kinds of the regression algorithms was evaluated by using 5-fold cross-validation method.
