The interaction between dissolved organic matter (DOM) and iron minerals has a significant effect on its stabilization and preservation in the environment. In this study, iron minerals with different crystal forms (crystalline goethite and amorphous ferrihydrite) were selected to investigate the photochemical transformation process for DOM immobilized on iron minerals under simulated sunlight irradiation at the molecular scale with the help of Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR MS). The results showed that a total of 7148 molecules were detected in alkaline-extractable sedimentary DOM, of which 38.

This paper presents a fluorescence spectrometry method for determining oxytetracycline under alkaline conditions. The ionic distribution of the oxytetracycline solution was analyzed based on its dissociation constant.

In this study, a neutral Fe/Ca oxide co-embedded biochar (FCBC) was synthesized using calcium peroxide and ferrous chloride as precursors for phosphate recovery from agricultural return flows. FCBC possesses a highly intricate pore structure and an abundance of surface-active groups.

In shallow lakes, intense oxidation-reduction fluctuations constantly alter the existing form of iron oxides, but little is known about their impact on the adsorption and fractionation of OP molecules. In this study, electrospray ionization coupled with Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (ESI-FT-ICR MS) was used to investigate the fractionation of OP from alkali-extracted sediment induced by crystalline goethite and amorphous ferrihydrite adsorption at a molecular scale.

However, the impact of exotic invasion on greenhouse gases (GHGs) production dynamics in sediments remain limited. Here, we investigated the dynamics of sediment physicochemical properties, GHGs production rates, and microbial gene abundances in a native habitat and three invasive habitats (6-, 10-, and 14-year) in the Minjiang River Estuary, China.

Clustering analysis (CA) and analysis of similarities (ANOSIM) were used to identify differences in phytoplankton community composition. Generalized additive model (GAM) and variance partitioning analysis (VPA) were further analyzed the contribution of spatial distribution and environmental factors in phytoplankton community composition.

Glyphosate is the most widely used herbicide in global agricultural cultivation. However, little is known about the environmental risks associated with its migration and transformation. We conducted light irradiation experiments to study the dynamics and mechanism of photodegradation of glyphosate in ditches, ponds and lakes, and evaluated the effect of glyphosate photodegradation on algae growth through algae culture experiments.

The results of this study indicated levels of TBBPA in mangrove sediments from the Zhangjiang Estuary (ZJ), Jiulongjiang Estuary (JLJ), and Quanzhou Bay (QZ) in Southeast China ranging from 1.80 to 20.

Adsorption technology can effectively remove phosphorus from water and realize phosphorus recovery. Hence, it is used to curb the eutrophication of water and alleviate the crisis caused by the shortage of phosphorus resources. Resin has been attracting increasing interest as an ideal adsorption material; however, its practical application is greatly affected by environmental factors.

There is little knowledge, however, of the metal sequestration patterns of GRSP in both terrestrial and aquatic soils, and this limits progress in understanding how environmental conditions influence GRSP characteristics. Here, we employed microcosm experiments to determine the molecular composition of original GRSP derived from three arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, Glomus intraradices, Glomus versiforme and Acaulospora laevis.

In this study, the kinetics and mechanisms of diazinon photodegradation by Fe(III)-oxalate complex have been determined. Special attention was given to the pathway by which phosphate is released following diazinon photodegradation, as assessed by HPLC-ESI-Q/TOF-MS coupled with oxygen isotope.

In order to reveal the effect of organic phosphorus photo-decomposition on phosphate level in lake water, the phosphate released from organic phosphorus photo-decomposition driven by Fe(Ⅲ)-oxalate complex under UV-Vis and sunlight irradiation was investigated in natural lake water using glyphosate as the model organic phosphorus. The effects of pH and initial concentration of Fe(Ⅲ), oxalate and glyphosate on the phosphate released from glyphosate photolysis were studied.

In this study, the role of Fe as a natural photosensitizer toward the decomposition of organic phosphorus to release phosphate was examined in deionized and natural waters under UV and sunlight irradiation using glyphosate as the organic phosphorus model. The results showed that the concentration of glyphosate decreased with irradiation time in the Fe/UV and Fe/sunlight systems and TOC gradually decreased, which confirmed that glyphosate was degraded by Fe.
