SKP1 constitutes the Skp1-Cullin-F-box ubiquitin E3 ligase (SCF), which plays a role in plant growth and development and biotic and abiotic stress in ubiquitination. However, the response of the gene family to abiotic and biotic stresses in cotton has not been well characterized. In this study, a total of 72 genes with the conserved domain of SKP1 were identified in four Gossypium species.

This study aimed to assess whether intravenous lidocaine could reduce the incidence of SRAEs in elderly frailty patients undergoing endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
Methods: A total of 210 elderly frailty patients scheduled for ERCP were randomly divided into two groups: lidocaine and control.
Silkworm () is an economically significant insect that produces silk and makes important contributions to the development of silk-producing countries. The genetic diversity and unique adaptive traits of silkworm germplasm resources form the foundation for breeding efforts. In various geographical regions, silkworm have developed distinct traits through long-term adaptive selection.

Currently, pharmaceutical therapy is the primary method of treatment, but it has reached a plateau, and it is accompanied by inherent adverse reactions and high costs. Stimulation of the wrist acupuncture point PC6 is recommended as an effective means of preventing PONV.

Chinese society is currently facing a significant challenge in aligning the allocation of health resources with economic development. Evaluating the level of coordinated development within the system can provide valuable insights to support the construction of a more coordinated China and foster high-quality development.

Herein, we report the multiscale optimization of carbon nitride through the construction of porous curled carbon nitride nanosheets (CNA-B30) incorporating boron center/cyano group Lewis acid-base pairs (LABPs). The unique chemical and structural features of CNA-B30 extended the photoabsorption edges of π → π* and n → π* electronic transitions to 470 nm and 715 nm, respectively.

Methods: 33 continuous patients with no significant difference in risk factors related to the mechanical complications were enrolled in this retrospective study. Sagittal parameters were measured in the pre-, post-operative and following-up lateral radiograph of spine.
Constructed wetlands (CWs) have gained recognition as an environmentally friendly and cost-efficient option for treating municipal, industrial, and agricultural wastewater. They treat wastewater by harnessing the combined action of physical, chemical, and biological processes within substrates, plants, and microorganisms, with substrates exerting the greatest influence on the life cycle and purification efficiency of the system. This review provides an in-depth discussion on the development and performance of various substrate types used in CWs, including natural materials, ore-based materials, biomass materials, waste materials, and modified and novel materials.

Currently, IBDV vaccines mainly rely on the induction of neutralizing antibodies against VP2 for protection, and the role of cellular immunity against IBDV infection is unclear. Here, we show that IBDV VP4, a serine protease of the virion, is responsible for inducing specific T cell immunity against IBDV infection.

However, the genetic deficiency of GSDMD in chicken renders avian pyroptosis elusive. Here, we show that infection of DF-1 cells (a chicken cell line) with infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) induced cell death associated with chicken GSDME (chGSDME) cleavage, and so did cells with other RNA virus (VSV, AIV, or NDV) infections, indicating a broad role of chGSDME in RNA virus-induced pyroptosis in chicken.

Although solution-processed devices offer the advantages of simple operation and low cost, few studies have reported on the preparation of exciplex OLED devices using solution methods. This paper presents exciplex OLEDs produced between m-MTDATA and Bphen, fabricated using a solution method and optimized by a polar solvent vapor annealing (PSVA) treatment.

The as-prepared probe exhibited two distinct emission peaks at 445 nm and 610 nm. During the detection process, Pb could quench blue fluorescence due to the formation of the CDs-Pb complex and does not affect orange fluorescence.

However, the productivity and economic viability of DAC have been compromised by the high energy consumption for regenerating the adsorbents. Here, we show that by synergistically harvesting water and carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, we can regenerate the unit using in situ vapor purge at low energy and capital cost.

Considering the concavity and convexity of cycloidal gear tooth profile curvatures, a curved surface contact coefficient model suitable for both inner and outer contacts, with either equal or unequal curvatures, has been developed. Moreover, a fractal contact model is constructed for cycloidal pinwheels.

The traditional constructed wetlands (CWs) face challenges such as significant seasonal fluctuations in decontamination performance and susceptibility to clogging, with the bottlenecks in advanced wastewater treatment becoming increasingly prominent. The iron‒carbon microelectrolysis coupled with constructed wetlands (ICME‒CWs) represents a promising new type of CWs, capable of removing typical and emerging pollutants in water through various mechanisms including adsorption, precipitation, oxidation‒reduction, microelectrolysis, and plant‒microbial synergy. Therefore, this review summarizes the sources, preparation, and basic properties of the ICME substrate commonly used in ICME‒CWs in recent years.
