High carrier frequency of pathogenic PATL2 gene mutations predicted in population: a bioinformatics-based approach.

Objective: To explore associations between maternal and fetal vitamin D status in preeclamptic pregnancies.

Methods: A case-control experiment was carried out with proportion ratio of 1:1 (controls: n = 60 vs cases: n = 60). Blood collection of both maternal and cord were performed before and during delivery, respectively, and 25(OH)D measurement was conducted.

Alpha-1-antitrypsin suppresses oxidative stress in preeclampsia by inhibiting the p38MAPK signaling pathway: An in vivo and in vitro study.

This present study was designed to investigate the effects of alpha-1-antitrypsin (AAT) on oxidative stress in preeclampsia (PE) by regulating p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38MAPK) signaling pathway. HTR8/SVneo cells were randomly assigned into normal, hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R), HR + AAT and HR + siRNA-AAT groups. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and Western blotting were used to detect the mRNA and protein expressions of p-p38MAPK, AAT, signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) and activating transcription factor2 (ATF2).

Increased Rab25 expression is not correlated with peritoneal metastasis of ovarian cancers.

Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death in gynecological cancer. Studies suggested Rab25 is involved in the pathogenesis of ovarian cancers. We here investigated the expression of Rab25 is in all ovarian cancers and whether the expression of Rab25 is associated with peritoneal metastasis.
