Preoperative computed tomography-guided coil localization of lung nodules.

To evaluate the usefulness of preoperative computed tomography (CT)-guided coil localization in patients with lung nodules who underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) for lung resection. From October 2015 to January 2018, 76 patients with lung nodules underwent CT-guided coil localization and subsequent VATS in our center. The tail of the coil remained above the visceral pleura.

Evaluations of computed tomography images and lumbar specimens in mimic operations of transverse rotation laminoplasty for lumbar spinal stenosis.

Background: Laminectomy is a major method to treat lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS), but it has lots of flaws such as scar tissue can form around the dura again or spinal instability. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of transverse rotation laminoplasty (TRL) in the treatment of LSS.

Methods: The mimic operations of TRL were performed both in the computerized image processing and on the lumbar specimen.

[(1)H-MRS study of auditory cortex in patients with presbycusis].

Objective: To study the metabolic changes of auditory cortex in patients with presbycusis by using proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy ((1)H-MRS).

Methods: Ten normal hearing volunteers (youth group), 10 normal hearing of elderly (aged group) and 8 patients with presbycusis (presbycusis group) were checked with proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy. N-acetylaspartic acid (NAA), creatine (Cr), choline (Cho), γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), glutamic acid (Glu) compound were measured.
