Relatively higher concentrations of mid-and long-chain -alkanes with a strong odd-over-even carbon number predominance indicated organic matter contributions dominated by aquatic macrophytes and terrestrial plants. Background: Systemic or intraperitoneal administration of corticosteroids has been reported to have conflicting effects on the prevention of peritoneal adhesions.
