This study reports on cases of stretched coils spanning 16 years and discusses effective assessment methods and treatment strategies.
Method: Retrospective analysis of the institutional database comprising 14 cases where stretched coils were observed during coil embolization procedures was conducted, starting from January 2007.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe aim of this work is to investigate and analyze the operation mechanism and power control principle of a bolted Langevin type (BLT)-loaded phase-shifted control inverter and to find a safe power control method for a phase-shifted control inverter used to drive a high-power BLT by preventing the differential current (shock current) from occurring in the right branches of a phase-shifted full-bridge circuit. In this paper, by allowing the inverter operating frequency to operate under inductive loads that coincide with the zero points of voltage and current rather than the resonant frequency of the BLT, which results in the generation of a shock current in the right branch of the full-bridge circuit, the switches of the right-branch also enabled zero-voltage, zero-current switching on (ZVZCS turn-on). The proposed method can fundamentally eliminate the generation of shock current by realizing ZVZCS turn-on on the right-branch switch elements of the inverter.

Here, we demonstrate that the transport of human antibodies across the BBB in mice can be enhanced by modulating their interactions with the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn). When M252Y/S254T/T246E substitutions are introduced on the antibody Fc domain, immunohistochemical assays reveal widespread distribution of the engineered antibodies throughout the mouse brain.

Objectives: This article examines the psychological effects of falls for older adults through the lens of identity and suggests these may be integrated in the assessment and management of older patients within acute care and rehabilitation settings post-fall. An illustrative vignette is described to demonstrate this approach.
Conclusion: Falls in older adults are complex phenomena which can lead to an identity threat, sometimes manifest as psychological symptoms and poor engagement in post-fall rehabilitation.
Aim Of The Study: This study aimed to investigate the effect of the head-up position implemented during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on cerebral blood flow (CBF) using near-infrared spectroscopy in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients.
Methods: Baseline characteristics (age, sex, cerebral performance category before cardiac arrest, witnessed cardiac arrest, bystander CPR, first monitored rhythm, no-flow time, prehospital low-flow time, CPR duration in the emergency department (ED), and reason for stopping CPR in the ED) were recorded. The changes of CBF were derived from the optical oscillation waveform measured by near-infrared spectroscopy in adult patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest by alternating head-up and supine positions at 4-minute intervals while performing CPR.

Counterintuitively, the elastic modulus behaviors of InAs/Al2O3 core-shell nanowires differ greatly from those of bulk-scale composite materials, free from size effects. According to our results, the elastic modulus of InAs/Al2O3 core-shell nanowires increases, peaking at a shell thickness of 40 nm, and then decreases in the range of 50-90 nm.

In this study, the PbI content in a perovskite absorber layer is controlled by changing the PbCl ratio in a PbICl seed layer.
