Lactoferrin (LF) and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) are recognized for their potent osteogenic properties. However, the osteogenic activity of LF-EGCG complexes is not fully understood. In this study, both non-covalent and covalent LF-EGCG complexes with different LF : EGCG ratios were prepared, and their effects on the LF structure and thermal stability were investigated using circular dichroism, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry.

Traditional packaging can only provide a certain antimicrobial effect and cannot indicate the freshness of food, which can no longer meet the needs of consumers. The preparation of intelligent packaging films with antimicrobial effects and freshness indication is an effective solution.

The quasi-1D nodal-line semimetal NbNiTe showcases distinct in-plane anisotropy alongside robust Dirac nodal-line points, rendering it a fascinating platform for exploring the intricate interplay between novel quantum states of matter and low-energy radiation. Here, sensitive and anisotropic terahertz photodetection driven by Dirac fermions and the intrinsic anisotropic properties of NbNiTe are presented.

This study analyzes data from 7,441 individuals from the NHANES 2017-2020 dataset, using exclusion criteria to refine the participant pool. Employing multivariate logistic regression and subgroup analyses while controlling for potential confounders, we assessed the association between average daily sleep duration and the prevalence of gallstones.

However, the efficacy of this combination in post-line treatment is still unknown. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the combination of anti-PD-L1 envafolimab and novel humanized anti-VEGF suvemcitug as second-line treatment for patients with HCC.

By designing a micro-electro-Nanofiber dressing composed of piezoelectric polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) integrated with antimicrobial silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), this research aims to address the dual challenges of promoting effective wound healing and maintaining joint mobility.
Methods: Herein, we developed a novel micro-electro-Nanofiber dressing using electrospinning technology, incorporating polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs).
Purpose: This phase II study is designed to evaluate the combination therapy involving suvemcitug and envafolimab with FOLFIRI in microsatellite-stable or mismatch repair-proficient (MSS/pMMR) colorectal cancer (CRC) in the second-line treatment setting.
Methods: This study is a non-randomized, open-label prospective study comprising multiple cohorts (NCT05148195). Here, we only report the data from the CRC cohort.
Infertility is increasingly linked to obesity, especially visceral fat accumulation. The Body Roundness Index (BRI) provides a precise quantification of body and visceral fat but its implications for infertility risks and diagnostic value are yet to be fully determined. This study analyzed data from 1,305 married women aged 20-45 years, drawn from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

Although complex spin configurations between 2D vdW interfaces introduce challenges in understanding their underlying mechanisms, they can offer more possibilities in realizing effective manipulations. In this study, we present a spin-orthogonal arranged 2D FeGaTe (FGaT)/CrSBr vdW heterostructure, realizing the EB effect with the bias field as large as 1730 Oe at 2 K.

However, this building extraction task remains highly challenging due to the complexity of building sizes, shapes, and surrounding environments. In addition, the discreteness, sparsity, and irregular distribution of point clouds, lighting, and shadows, as well as occlusions of the images, also seriously affect the accuracy of building extraction.

Methods: To address this issue, splinted mushroom cultivation residues were added to adjust the C/N ratio, and exogenous thermophilic composting strains were introduced to increase composting temperature.
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of dexmedetomidine epidural anesthesia combined with nano-silver polyurethane dressing in gynecological surgery.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed data of 80 patients who underwent epidural anesthesia at Jinan Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from January 2018 to May 2022. The patients treated with propofol and routine postoperative wound treatment were assigned into a control group, while the patients treated with dexmedetomidine and nano-silver polyurethane dressing were classified into an observation group.

Chronic and infected wounds, particularly those caused by bacterial infections, present significant challenges in medical treatment. This study aimed to develop a novel nanoparticle formulation to enhance wound healing by combining antimicrobial and photothermal therapy using albumin as a carrier for Tanshinone IIA and the near-infrared photothermal agent IR780. The nanoparticles were synthesized to exploit the antimicrobial effects of Tanshinone IIA and the photothermal properties of IR780 when exposed to near-infrared laser irradiation.
