After in vitro maturation (IVM) of porcine germinal vesicle (GV) oocytes, those that matured to the metaphase II (MII) stage were selected for further culture over a period of 24-48 h. Subsequently, these oocytes were either parthenogenetically activated or used for somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) to evaluate their in vitro developmental competence. Parthenogenetically activated MII oocytes developed to the blastocyst stage after 42 h of continuous culture, whereas SCNT oocytes reached the blastocyst stage within 30 h of culture.

The dosage of chemotherapy drugs for overweight/obese children with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) has been empirically reduced based on ideal body weight (BW) in Japan to reduce the risk of adverse events. Aims: This study details application of deep learning for automatic volumetric segmentation of left ventricular (LV) myocardium and scar and automated quantification of myocardial ischaemic scar burden from late gadolinium enhancement cardiovascular magnetic resonance (LGE-CMR).

The use of the indocyanine green video angiography (ICG-VA) both endoscope and microscope has become popular in recent decades thanks to the safety, efficacy, and added value that they have provided for cerebrovascular surgery.  This study compared intraoperative findings with preoperative computed tomography angiography (CTA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis of perianeurysmal findings for the indication of possible vessel wall thinning.  Participants comprised 38 patients with unruptured middle cerebral artery aneurysms treated by surgical clipping at our hospital between May 2020 and April 2021. We defined parent artery radiation sign (PARS) as the presence of each of the following three findings in CFD analysis based on preoperative CTA: (1) impingement of the stream line on the outer parent vessel wall of the aneurysm; (2) radiation of wall shear stress vectors outwards from the same site; and (3) increased wall pressure compared with the surrounding area.
