It has successfully induced remission in patients with severe metastatic disease, including those refractory to other chemotherapeutic regimens. Immune checkpoint inhibitors may result in immune-related adverse events affecting multiple organs, including endocrine organs, leading to thyroiditis and hypophysitis, among others.
