Article Synopsis
  • The study assessed the immune response to recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone (r-hFSH) in women undergoing controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) for fertility treatments.
  • In a multicenter study involving 285 women, only four tested positive for anti-drug antibodies (ADA), but none showed neutralization potential, indicating low immunogenicity of r-hFSH.
  • Overall, the drug's efficacy and safety were consistent with existing literature, with standard pregnancy rates and few adverse events reported, showing no significant clinical impact from immunogenic responses.

Objectives: To compare the efficacy and safety of monoclonal anti-Rhesus (anti-D) immunoglobulin (IgG) with polyclonal anti-D IgG in the prevention of maternal Rh-isoimmunization.

Methods: This was a randomized, multicenter, open-label, comparative clinical trial conducted in the obstetric in-patient departments of nine tertiary care hospitals in India. 206 Rhesus (D)-negative women, not sensitized to Rh antigen, and delivering Rh positive babies, received postpartum intramuscular administration of monoclonal or polyclonal anti-D IgG.

Article Synopsis
  • A new recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin (r-hCG) was developed in India, and this study compared its effectiveness and safety with Ovitrelle for inducing ovulation in women undergoing intrauterine insemination (IUI).
  • A total of 217 women aged 20-37 were randomly assigned to receive either the new r-hCG or Ovitrelle after ovarian stimulation, with the main focus on comparing ovulation and pregnancy rates, as well as monitoring adverse events.
  • Results showed similar ovulation rates (85.4% for r-hCG vs. 78.1% for Ovitrelle) and pregnancy rates (11.8% vs. 12.3%), along with a low
