Article Synopsis
  • - The study focused on the root and canal distribution of mandibular premolars, comparing differences across genders and sides using CBCT imaging.
  • - Results from 100 participants indicated that most mandibular first premolars had single roots and canals, but females showed slight variations, particularly a higher occurrence of two canals.
  • - Although no significant differences were noted based on gender or side, the findings suggest that understanding these variations is important for personalized treatment planning in endodontics, with a call for more research to enhance CBCT's effectiveness in this area.
