Apparent temperature (AT) is a composite index that combines ambient temperature, humidity, wind speed and other meteorological factors, and reflects heat perception more accurately than raw temperature. This is the first study to investigate the association between AT and CVD in rural areas of Jiuquan and Longnan, Gansu Province, China. In this study, the distributed lag nonlinear model (DLNM) was used to examine the exposure-response relationship between AT and the 21 days relative risk (RR) of CVD admission.

Importance: Few investigations have evaluated rates of brain-based magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) incidental findings (IFs) in large lifespan samples, their stability over time, or their associations with health outcomes.

Objectives: To examine rates of brain-based IFs across the lifespan, their persistence, and their associations with phenotypic indicators of behavior, cognition, and health; to compare quantified motion with radiologist-reported motion and evaluate its associations with IF rates; and to explore IF consistency across multiple visits.

Design, Setting, And Participants: This cross-sectional study included participants from the Nathan Kline Institute-Rockland Sample (NKI-RS), a lifespan community-ascertained sample, and the Healthy Brain Network (HBN), a cross-sectional community self-referred pediatric sample focused on mental health and learning disorders.

In recent years, as a clinical prescription of TCM, Chinese herbal pieces have played a significant role in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 and exhibited their unique value, and therefore they have become the highlight of China's clinical treatment protocol and provided Chinese experience and wisdom for the international community in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Introduction And Objective: Although it has previously been shown that temperature is associated with cardiovascular disease, no investigations exploring the association between apparent temperature (AT) and hypertension in farmers in Zhangye and Longnan, Gansu Province, China, have been undertaken. As hypertension is a commonly known risk factor for cardiovascular disease, the relationship between apparent temperature (AT) and hypertension is examined in Zhangye and Longnan to provide advice to local governments on preventive measures.

In this work, we present a dataset that combines functional magnetic imaging (fMRI) and electroencephalography (EEG) to use as a resource for understanding human brain function in these two imaging modalities. The dataset can also be used for optimizing preprocessing methods for simultaneously collected imaging data. RAS protein activator-like 1 (RASAL1) is a member of the RAS GTPase-activating protein family, and previous studies indicate that RASAL1 is involved in the progression of hypoxia resistance in breast cancer cells. In the present study, increased levels of hypoxia inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) were observed to be accompanied with increased expression of RASAL1 in the breast cancer cell lines MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells under hypoxia. Based on this, it was postulated that RASAL1 may serve a functional role in the development of hypoxia resistant in breast cancer cells.
