Background And Objective: Conventionally, standard resection (SR) is performed by resecting the bladder tumour in a piecemeal manner. En bloc resection of the bladder tumour (ERBT) has been proposed as an alternative technique in treating non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). The objective of this study is to investigate whether ERBT could improve the 1-yr recurrence rate of NMIBC, as compared with SR.

This study investigated if immunomodulatory treatment improves the in-vitro fertilization (IVF) success rates of women with two or more recurrent pregnancy losses (RPL) and repeated implantation failures (RIF) with cellular immune abnormalities and thrombophilia. We performed a retrospective cohort study of 197 RPL patients who received immunomodulatory and anticoagulation treatment undergoing IVF cycles (fresh or frozen embryo transfer). We report a patient with recurrent hematospermia diagnosed with metastasis to the seminal vesicle following ileal adenocarcinoma resection, his subsequent management and outcome.

The adverse effects of depression on patients' life have been reported but information about its effects on the sequential organization of the information processing stages remains poorly understood as previous studies focused only on distinct stages. This study adds to existing knowledge by examining the effect of major depressive disorder (MDD) on the sequential organization of information processing, executive and community functioning. Fifty-seven participants with 19 participants each for first episode depression (FMDD), recurrent episodes depression (RMDD), and healthy controls (HCs) participated in this study.

The role of symptoms and insight in mediating cognition and functioning in first episode psychosis.

Introduction: Achieving functional recovery in patients with psychosis is a challenge in clinical practice. Investigating the complex interplay between cognition, symptoms, insight and functional outcome in first episode psychosis will be crucial to understanding the factors leading to better functioning.

Methods: In this 12-month prospective follow-up study, we investigated how cognition, clinical symptoms, and insight into illness affected overall functioning in 160 patients with first episode psychosis recruited from the Early Assessment Service for Young People with Psychosis (EASY) in Hong Kong from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2016.

Perineal hernia is a rare complication of anterior exenteration. We reported this complication after an anterior exenteration for bladder cancer with bleeding complication requiring packing and second-look laparotomy. Perineal approach is a simple and effective method for repair of perineal hernia.

We studied the fracture risk amongst Chinese patients with carcinoma of the prostate prescribed different ADT regimens.

All mothers of a consecutive series of preschool children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders at their first visit to the clinic were recruited.

Introduction: A renal parenchymal clamp has been used at our centre since March 2012. It is used in position over the kidney to achieve optimal vascular control of a tumour while minimising parenchymal ischaemia.
