Background: Globally, neonatal sepsis is the leading cause of neonatal mortality and morbidity, particularly in developing countries. Despite studies that revealed the prevalence of neonatal sepsis in developing countries, the outcome of the diseases, barriers for poor outcomes were inconclusive.
