Digital multi-beam synthesis technology is generally used in the on-orbit satellite-based Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) system. However, the probability of successfully detecting aircraft with uneven surface distribution is low. An adaptive digital beamforming method is proposed to improve the efficiency of aircraft detection probability.

Article Synopsis
  • - The text discusses the challenges of developing space-based IoT due to limited frequency resources and low spectrum utilization, leading to a need for more efficient solutions in user access.
  • - A new method called MHSTFC-UD is proposed, which optimizes user access by dividing satellite beam cells into central and edge areas and dynamically adjusting resource allocation based on user distribution.
  • - Simulation results indicate that MHSTFC-UD significantly enhances access capacity for satellite users, improving maximum capacity by 1 to 3 times compared to traditional methods, and increases the number of users by 11.5% to 33.1% over fixed approaches.
