Elaborating the specific reactive oxygen species (ROS) involved in the photocatalytic degradation of atrazine (ATZ) is of great significance for elucidating the underlying mechanism. This study provided conclusive evidence that hydroxyl radicals (·OH) were the primary ROS responsible for the efficient photocatalytic degradation of ATZ, thereby questioning the reliability of widely adopted radical quenching techniques in discerning authentic ROS species. As an illustration, oxygen-modified g-CN (OCN) was prepared to counteract the limitations of pristine g-CN (CN).

In this work, the photolysis of enrofloxacin (ENR), pefloxacin (PEF), and sulfaquinoxaline (SQX) in aqueous solution by UV combined with HO or ferrous ions (Fe(II)), as well as Fenton (Fe(II)/HO) processes, was investigated. In addition, the toxicity of the final reaction solution after UV/HO/Fe(II) treatment toward zebrafish embryos was determined. In this article, an exquisite flexible hybrid MoS/graphene free-standing electrocatalyst paper was fabricated by a one-step solvothermal process. The assembled MoS/graphene catalysts exhibit significantly enhanced electrocatalytic activity and cycling stability towards the splitting of water in acidic solution. Furthermore, a strategic balance of abundant active sites at the edge of the S-Mo-S layers with efficient electron transfer in the MoS/graphene hybrid catalyst plays a key role in controlling the electrochemical performance of the MoS nanosheets.

We investigate the polarization properties of below-threshold harmonics from aligned molecules in linearly polarized laser fields numerically and analytically. We focus on lower-order harmonics (LOHs). Our simulations show that the ellipticity of below-threshold LOHs depends strongly on the orientation angle and differs significantly for different harmonic orders.
