It has been reported that adiponectin (AdipoQ), an adipokine secreted by white adipose tissue, plays an important role in the control of animal reproduction in addition to its function in energy homeostasis by binding to its receptors AdipoR1/2. Operative time, intraoperative blood loss, serum C-reactive protein (CRP) and creatine kinase (CK) levels, the length of postoperative bed rest time, and hospital stay were compared between the 2 groups.
