The circadian clock plays multiple functions in the regulation of plant growth, development and response to various abiotic stress. Here, we showed that the core oscillator component late elongated hypocotyl (LHY) was involved in rice response to salt stress. The mutations of OsLHY gene led to reduced salt tolerance in rice.

Cdc20 is a promising drug target that plays an important role in the mid-anaphase process of cellular mitosis, and Apcin is the only reported core structure of the Cdc20-specific inhibitor. Some potent Apcin derivatives were obtained in our previous research, and a structure-activity relationship was determined. In this study, we designed and synthesized a series of ureido-based Apcin derivatives.

However, little is known about the SnRK functions in wheat. In this study, 149 TaSnRKs (wheat SnRKs) were identified and were divided into three subfamilies.

GRF members play vital roles in plant development and stress response. Although GRF family genes have been investigated in a variety of plants, they remain largely unstudied in bread wheat ( L.

The DUF966 gene family is found in monocotyledons, dicotyledons, mosses, and other species. However, little is known about the functions of DUF966 genes in wheat ( L.

However, the comprehensive analysis of C2H2 ZFPs in cucumber (CsZFPs) and their regulation function in cucumber are still lacking.
Results: In the current study, the whole genome identification and characterization of CsZFPs, including the gene structure, genome localization, phylogenetic relationship, and gene expression were performed.
Auxin affects many aspects of plant growth and development by regulating the expression of auxin-responsive genes. As one of the three major auxin-responsive families the Gretchen Hagen3 (GH3) gene family maintains hormonal homeostasis by conjugating excess indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), salicylic acid (SA), and jasmonic acid (JA) to amino acids during hormone and stress-related signaling. Although some work has been carried out the functions of wheat GH3 (TaGH3) family genes in response to abiotic stresses (including salt stress and osmotic stress) are largely unknown.

Previously, this gene family has been investigated in and rice. In the present study, a genome-wide analysis of the SOD gene family in wheat were performed.

Despite the vital role of AQPs, little is known about them in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.).

This research investigates the facilitators and barriers for older people to adopt e-learning services using qualitative data of older people in a Chinese city. A qualitative approach was applied to explore the perceived facilitators and obstacles toward e-learning adoption with 10 older Chinese aged over 50. The results indicate the following: (1a) Age-related changes and cohort effects were found to be the internal barriers for the adoption of e-learning.

However, genetic studies examining the relationship between 5-HTTLPR polymorphism and geriatric depression have produced inconsistent results. We conducted a meta-analysis to compare the frequency of 5-HTTLPR variants in geriatric depression cases and non-depressed controls in the elderly.
