Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis (anti-NMDARE) and anti-leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 1 encephalitis (anti-LGI1E) are the two most common types of antibody-mediated autoimmune encephalitis. We performed a comprehensive analysis of the B-cell immune repertoire in patients with anti-NMDARE ( = 7) and anti-LGI1E ( = 10) and healthy controls ( = 4). The results revealed the presence of many common clones between patients with these two types of autoimmune encephalitis, which were mostly class-switched.

Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis is the most common antibody-mediated encephalitis. There are several studies on B cell repertoire of anti-NMDAR encephalitis in Caucasians. Here, the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples of 12 Chinese patients with first-episode anti-NMDAR encephalitis were collected to investigate the B cell receptor (BCR) binding to NMDAR by single cell amplification of BCR and Sanger sequencing.

The synthesis of medium-sized heterocycles possessing a trans double bond is still a challenge. Herein, gold(I)-catalyzed 1,2-acyloxy migration/intramolecular cyclopropanation/ring enlargement cascade reaction of furans has been developed, providing highly efficient access to ten- and eleven-membered heterocycles with a broad substrate scope under mild reaction conditions. The reaction outcome features high chemoselectivity at the C5-position of furan.

Matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) play a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases. Their expressions are altered in response to a variety of stimuli, including growth factors, inflammatory markers, and cytokines. In this study, we demonstrated that platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) induces a dose- and time-dependent increase in MMP-2 expression in rat vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC).

Several novel chiral N-heterocyclic carbene and phosphine ligands were prepared from (S)-BINOL. Moreover, their ligated Au complexes were also successfully synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystal diffraction. A weak gold-π interaction between the Au atom and the aromatic ring in these gold complexes was identified.

Oxabicyclic alkenes can react with electron-deficient terminal alkynes in the presence of a gold catalyst under mild conditions, affording the corresponding addition products in moderate yields. When using alkynyl esters as substrates, the (Z)-acrylate derivatives are obtained. Using but-3-yn-2-one (ethynyl ketone) as a substrate, the corresponding addition product is obtained with (E)-configuration.

A series of α-amino-1,3-dithianes have been synthesized via the asymmetric Umpolung reaction of 2-lithio-1,3-dithianes with chiral N-phosphonyl imines in good chemical yields (up to 82%) and good to excellent diastereoselectivities (>99:1). The manner by which chiral N-phosphonyl imines are slowly added into the solution of 2-lithio-1,3-dithiane was found to be crucial for achieving excellent diastereoselectivity. The current synthesis was proven to follow the GAP chemistry (group-assistant-purification chemistry) process, which avoids traditional purification techniques of chromatography or recrystallization, i.

P(n)Bu(3)-catalyzed cyclization reactions of salicylaldimines and salicylaldehydes with ethyl 2,3-butadienoate gave the corresponding functionalized chromans in moderate to good yields in THF under mild conditions. The new reaction provides a new method for the synthesis of biologically active chroman products.
