alkaloids (DAs) are interesting molecules with rich molecular skeletons and diverse biological activities. Since their discovery, phytochemists have isolated, purified, and identified more than 350 DAs. Synthetic chemists, attracted by the structure and activity of DAs, have accomplished many elegant synthetic jobs.

However, the mechanism underlying the development of thrombosis in PNH remains unclear. To explore this, platelet function and serum complement activity were investigated in 14 patients with classical PNH, 11 with PNH aplastic anemia (AA) and 30 healthy controls.

Methods: Serum levels of sC5b-9, complement C3 and C4 were detected by using ELISA in 25 patients with PNH/PNH-AA. The quantities of C5b-9 and CD62p on the membrane of platelets were detected by flow cytometry.
