Mer tyrosine kinase (MerTK) has been found to regulate the secretion of inflammatory factors and exert immunosuppressive effects, but its role in gout remains unclear. In this study, we aimed to clarify the immnue effects of MerTK in gout. MerTK in synovium or serum of gout patients was determined by immunohistochemistry, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR).

Cisplatin (DDP) is used for the clinical management of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). However, the development of drug resistance limits its therapeutic efficacy. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are known to be involved in tumor DDP resistance.

Background: This study aimed to analyze the specific expression of hsa_circ_0007823 in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and explore the roles and related molecular mechanisms of hsa_circ_0007823 in TNBC.

Materials And Methods: Relative hsa_circ_0007823 levels in TNBC tissues and cell lines were examined by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The value of hsa_circ_0007823 levels was evaluated in patients' clinicopathological characteristics and prognostic prediction.

To investigate the effects of genistein (Gen) on the biosynthesis of N-glycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc) in rats, 80 4-week-old male SD rats were randomly equally into the control and genistein groups. The rats of control and genistein groups were fed 5% ethanol and 300 mg/(kg·d) genistein respectively by gavage. The contents of Neu5Gc in hind leg muscle, kidney and liver tissues of rats were measured by using high performance liquid chromatography coupled with fluorescence detector (HPLC/FLD), and the mechanism of inhibition of Neu5Gc synthesis was investigated by using the molecular docking of Gen and sialyltransferase.
